If he were a real alco his fitness would have gone to hell by now and he would've been drunk on the field at some point.
Having battled the drinking demons, its not that f**king hard - and I used to nail that shit good, a lot of the time alone - didn't need anyone else to drink with because it was all about the drink, people near were a bonus and almost a convenient excuse, never admitting there was a problem when questioned.
You just stop doing it or accept the fact that you were quiet happy to turn your life to shit.
