Would anyone even be upset if we punted the Roosters out of the competition? I can't think of a bigger joke of a club over the last few years ($ouffs excluded obviously).

The Roosters are a foundation club and have alot of history in Rugby League, but in their current guise they are an absolute joke.

Clearly the management and coaching staff don't have any control or influence over what's going on. I mean this isn't the crime of the century, its hardly worth more than a mention in the media, but it goes to show there is no universal respect amongst the playing group for any policies relating to player discipline.

As for the people saying "sacking carney wont help him" bla bla bla. There comes a time where punishment has to be considered punitive rather than rehabilitative. This guy has literally had 50 chances with two clubs. Clearly he is not a person smart enough to learn from his errors. He should be sacked. There is absolutely no shadow of a doubt a lesser player would have been afforded even 1 / 10th of the chances Carney has had.

I'd rather be a sex addict than an alcoholic.
I'd sack the 3 of them for waddling about in thongs on a Winter night.

how much do they earn? And that is the best they have in their wardrobe for a night out? Geez the game has got problems. Someone call Trinny and Susan quick!

Of all their issues it's good to see their mediocre wardrobe is the #1 priority.

The pair enjoyed some morning tea in a food court in the Eastern Suburbs - less than five kilometres from their now-infamous boozy night out at The Courthouse Hotel - before moving on to a few retail outlets.

As Todd Carney prepares to front the club and argue why he should not be sacked, it was interesting he opted to hang out with Nate Myles, the Titans-bound player also in hot water.

I think it's pretty clear at this point that Todd Carney's care factor for his club, his teammates, the game and the fans is somewhere in the vicinity of zero.

Our signing is a lot happier with us than Carney is with the Roosters. Our signing isn't in self destruct mode like theirs. Inglis is in the best form he's been in in 2 years. Carney is the opposite.

Carney might be sacked this week. Inglis is talking about extending his contract.

A world of difference.

If the Roosters do sack him, I guarantee you we won't sign Carney. Maguire wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole.

dear Roosters : Todd Carney is clearly suffering a severe mental illness and/or addiction. he needs to be sent to a treatment facility. away from footy. if you want to keep him, send him far FAR away from football.

you should have done this at the start of the season. you reap what you sow.

Carney to souths it is then.
Where he will be greeted as the next big thing that will get them to the GF in 2012, by BunniesMan, BC, Galeforce and co. He'll probably be paraded in front of the media before he signs the contract.

Are you two saying this BS with straight faces?

Ok so hypothetically Easts announce in a couple days that he's gone. You seriously think Rusty would get on the phone and try to recruit him?

Carney is a cancer. We'd never give him the privilege of wearing our jersey.
