He won't get through next season. In 5 years he has had one without incident (and even in that one he somehow managed to fall off his balcony!). Any club would be stupid to rely on him to be a regular first team player for the whole season.

An intricate personality like Carney is in need of a father figure first, coach second. The only man to ever give him that is a long way from the NRL merry-go-round.

If he was to replace Lockyer, Prince, Widdop, Mullen or even get a chance at Parramatta I'm sure he would be a different man.

Judging Carney by the mentors he has had previously is akin to judging Pearce without him having one decent coach in his career

Where did you predict this bellyache?

lol@roosters and their fans who told us that: 'Todd's reformed'.:lol::lol:

I can see cheque book Rusty making a play for him.

I thought you followed my every word . . . hang on . . . you only use the ones that impress your little group of rednecks and even then out of context.

Sure you're not an illegitimate Rothfield?

Don't you remember my first post after the taxi driver incident I said Carney was purposely trying to get his contract nullified?

Carney will not stay out of trouble until he accepts the responsibilty. No-one needs to baby him

He is turning 26 , if you are going to mature it would of been well before this point.

If he comes to the Raiders , I wont be happy or unhappy , I'll be just waiting for the next time he f*ks up , because there will be another time.

I think the Storm would be good for Carney, the pressure wouldn't be so high on him like it was at the Roosters and Raiders. Him moving to the Broncos would be ideal for both parties. I'd be upset if he moved to 50uff$, he'd be better off retiring than joining that place.

Bollocks. Plenty of people remain immature in their mid 20s.

Also plenty of people much oler than Carney who drink to excess, and who think they're some kind of hero for doing so.

I heard Rabs trying to defend him on the footy show last night saying that he was just a kid. The bloke is 25 surely he's old enough to know the consequences from his actions. Talk about a Peter Pan syndrome

He's a year older than me, i drink, heavily in fact, most would say too much
i have never been charged with anything.
You can drink heavily and be a tool, no one really cares, all we ask is that you respect the laws, which is the bare minimum that every citizen must abide by. Todd cant when he's on the drink.

That wont change anytime soon, generally the type of people who have shown such disregard for the law, are the type that continue to show no regard well into their 40's

From a Raiders point of view I either want him at the Raiders or so far away that he can't visit all the time and sway his mates to become criminals or play for other sides.

So a Queensland side or an overseas side. Cowboys would be good.

Hes just a dickhead nick not the worst person who has ever lived.

It seems he wants to be back at Canberra. We need some reassurances in the halves. It would help re-sign Dugan. If we put a not acting like a dickhead clause in the contract we can't really lose. I say bring him home.

Wouldn't surprise me to see him playing for the Titans next year.. They offload Prince and take on Carney.

Souths sign Prince for 2012.

Don't touch him. Just a warning. Far more trouble than he is worth. Let me put it this way. I recognise how good he is, how good he could be and what he did for us. But despite all this, I feel really, really good that he has left the Roosters.

You know that show has lost it when Brohman is the only one who talks sense. Rabs is a senile old queen.

I'd love to see Carney back at the Raiders. They're like a battered wife that just can't say no.
