I smell failure purely because i haven't been able to snag a win to save my life lately. That and im still mildly depressed for choosing not to stick a lazy $100-200 on McIlroy to win the US Open @ 23-1.

Does the win pool for footytab margin getannounced only at tghe conclusion of all games , ie once dividends are announced ? or close of betting once first game has kicked off ? our group of mates pretty much stick to sports multis , nrl , epl etc , and ignore footytab , just wondering what percentage of peoples betting outlay goes on footytab as compared to the multi's bets ?

In 1996, as I found out reading about the $2,006,217 jackpot between Rounds 11 and 14 of that season, the win pool for Pick The Margins was only announced at the conclusion of all games. That is, no details were disclosed before that point as to how many live tickets were remaining, nor was a jackpot announced if one was certain before the last game was played. (A ?predetermined? jackpot before the last game is by no means unlikely since before jackpots were initiated in 1994 it was not unusual for Pick The Margins to pay on as a few as six of eight correct selections).

Unfortunately, I cannot give details about the current situation, though I have no evidence anything has been changed by the TAB.

I had a mate twice be one off getting the margin. Both times he had a draw in the mystery ticket. Was sitting with him when Andrew gee only had to tap the ball from the 20m line for the restart and it was game over. He didn't and the roosters got a penalty right in from and kicked it to win by 2. From that time since Andrew gee is a dirty word around him and will just make him see red.
