Tahu? I don't think so. He could well struggle under Bennett, he certainly showed he didn't like the tough regime Kearney had at the Eels and bolted.

Tahu also has burned too many bridges imo, he will be the Knights worst signing.

I know what you mean. it's a pity he is always so injured as well. I think next year will work out in one of two ways:

1. He'll be injured for most of the year and we'll see Wes Naquima play centre for us most of the year.

2. He'll fire up and be centre of the year under WB.

Hope it's the 2nd one.:oops::p

I am being awfully optomistic/crazy though.
Yes, yes you are Yosh. But shine on you crazy diamond.

Tahu won't make it, nor will Mullen. Houston is an outside chance. Uate first back picked, Gidley close to certain, Snowden and Buderus (if he returns) strong possibilities. Eddy is no chance.

Wes will (should) get first crack at the centre position next season. Tahu will have to bide his time ala Priddis, or perhaps play off the bench in the back row/cover for outside backs.

1. Dugan / Stewart (Really whoever is in better form at the time, I know Dugan is probably our 'future' fullback, but Stewart is the better player at the moment IMO.)
2. Hayne (Best NSW back over the past 4 or so years)
3. Lawrence (Best centre in NSW)
4. Gordon / Jennings (I think Gordon could really shine in the centres, however I'm not too sure on his passing game and Uate needs all the ball and space he can get)
5. Uate (Best Winger in NSW)
6. Campese / Soward (Depending on how good Campese returns next year, he is our greatest 5/8, he can be inconsistent but being surrounded by better players will help that area of his game)
7. Mullen (Same story as Campese, can be inconsistent, but NSW's greatest half back IMO on his day. Waiting too see what Bennett can do for his form)
8. TLL (Best Prop for NSW, maybe not best at club level, but origin he has always fired, be it on the bench, backrow, prop)
9. Farah (I can't stress enough how important this position is, and Farah is NSW's best hooker)
10. Snowden (If he can overcome his back injury in time and regain his form. Maybe even return as a better player under Bennett)
11. Lewis (Even though he is rated, still under-rated, a great all round backrower and leader)
12. Bird (Breaks the line, defends well, always plays well for NSW)
13. Gallen (C) (Workhorse, captain, aggressive, inspirational)

14. Mannah (Does his job, however better utilised off the bench rather than starting imo)
15. Galloway (Deserves another shot, only got to play 10 minutes for NSW, great prop for tigers)
16. Sims (future NSW star backrower, start him now in what is a fairly experienced NSW forward pack)
17. Watmough (Aggressive, experienced, great impact off bench)

18. Fensom (Potential lock / backrower for NSW in the future)
Coach. Ricky Stuart

We have enough quality props to allow Gallen to play back in the backrow, they just need to be rotated properly and the right props need to be selected.

Agree. This is a gun team. I would make TLL come off the bench though. Hes much better utilised in the way we used Choc Watmough this year in GameII. A very big impact player.

I think Dugan will be the fullback. Providing he does find form I won't complain he can be a gun fullback on a good day. Just needs better communication with the wingers. Gidley will slot in there somewhere he always does. Even as a "Bench Utility" and change some around slightly.

lol so any shit players in one team.

Until NSW flog off all the good QLD players to AFL or retirement they wont win. Look at it, the 3 best halfbacks in the league are QLDers and the 2 best up and comers (Sandow and DCE) are QLDers as well.. NSW are stuck with that shit merkin Pearce who is only in the team because of his dads name

If James Maloney keeps his form up through the finals and early next season it wouldn't surprise me to see him make Country at least, particularly when Soward loses the effects of Wayne Bennett's magical breast milk.

That is true, but we don't have a shit team. If we had better halves last series we win it. Only other differences are Slater / Dugan, Smith / Ennis (although the skill level in hooker would decrease a lot if Farah was there).

Dugan is a good fullback and will get a lot better as well, ignoring all the bullshit comments he gets on these forums he is a good player when he is fit and healthy. He will be our future fullback.

Maybe a bit of consistency with the halves in series 07/08/09 could have served us better for the past couple of series as well.

I really don't like changing the halves around alot, but I think I would change mine from Pearce / Soward as much as I don't want too.

Maloney is the best half from NSW, he shits all over Mullen, Pearce and Soward. As long as he keeps up his form he should be picked at 5/8 in 2012.

Maloney is looking alright. Who is that other Warriors half? Looks and plays like a winger from what I've seen. He goes alright to.

Shaun Johnson? A Kiwi, and a bloody good one too. Give him another year and bugger off Fein and put him with Marshall.

James Maloney has to prove his mettle in big games. He gets a shot over the next week or two at least. He has improved out of sight, especially his strength and defense.

He would have to be in the running although I am reluctant to change both halves for next year. Either Pearce or Soward goes or they both stay IMO. Otherwise we are back to square one.

No Foran? Although I guess Foran isn't really a halfback more of a 5/8th / lock (which he might slip into lock)

Personal preference, I like the way Johnson plays. Benji wont be around forever so they both will play for the Kiwis some day.

Back on topic,

1. Brett Stewart
2. Jarryd Hayne
3. Michael Jennings
4. Chris Lawrence
5. Aku Uate

Agree with you backline Tommy and most of your pack. Im not sold on Mullen yet and will wait until next year to decide.

Long-term I see Foran moving into the centres or lock to make way for Johnson, then back into 6 when Marshall retires.

Need to really look what Wayne will do with Gidley. He will definitely increase his skill as a player and help him form up to be a more valuable player which will help in Origin (He was good in GameII).

I think Mullen still has a long way to go. I won't complain with having Pearce given another shot providing he steps up when the going get's tough. He had a few big hits this year and a few good passes to play but was not consistent among the way he can play.

Soward need to step-up and take on the line more instead of running laterally. He's my team player I love him as a player but as of lately he's been very much a "One-Hit Wonder" and I wonder if it is due to his confidence.

Uate is a given as a winger. Was a gun this year and will fire up. Jennings Lawrence in the centers barring form.

I agree. Whether Bennett plays Gidley at 5/8 or hooker he will likely improve and bring that to the origin arena. Both positions are vacant atm and are his for the taking. If he does play hooker I think Farah should come off the bench.

Depending on form, Mullen should be 5/8 over Soward. Pearce should be a lock-in certainty barring injury. Soward should be 4th choice 5/8 after Gidley, Mullen and Campese.

Agree with Uate, Jennings and Lawrence too. I'd pick Hayne as the other winger but he needs to find form.

If you keep Soward, you keep Pearce, the only reason you'd keep either is to stand by the half pairing. Ideally I'd choose neither, Soward's a coward who goes missing at key stages and can't defend and while Pearce has the ticker for origin he doesn't have the creativity or the ability to grab a game by the scruff of the neck.

On this year's form you couldn't back Mullen to play for NSW, to be fair he clearly has not fully recovered from his injury and that's holding him back, but Mullen has a tendency to go missing and struggles to take control of the game.

Farah's an 80minute player mate. If he continues to play in his current form next year he will be the best attacking Hooker option we have. Period. He has creativity is fast around the ruck and can send players off and really expose defensive weakness (Which yes let's admit even QLD has a few times each game).

I personally would like to see

1. Dugan
6. Mullen/Campese (Barring form)
7. Pearce
9. Farah
14. Gidley (Bench Utility)

I personally believe Gids is better utilized off the bench as he was in GameII where he slipped into centers after Hoppa went off and we play him in either Lock or give Dugan a breather. I don't know but I think keeping him out of the halves might be the go.

We seriously need Farah for the spark attack if we want to go anywhere. The benefit of Dugan with an attacking Hooker like 9 is the speed of Dugan give us the ability to run a line-break after a few fast plays and when in form he is a very good player (As we saw when he teared us apart [Dragons]).

We have the potential to have a very lethal backline with out depth it's just getting the right halves and hooker to be able to utilize it. Between

Hayne
Stewart
Dugan
Morris
Uate
Gordon
Jennings
Coote
Lawrence
+ the rest.

Bird/Gallen should be the first names placed on the paper next year. Gallen is a machine and Bird is a big game player and he had a great series personally.
