You did advise me to lay them.;-)

That quinella would of paid handily wasn't 12 a 30 to 1 shot.

The total for the two bets was around $1000.25 with about $900 for the Quinella. Not a bad return for $4. I'm almost tempted to have another bet before next MC (almost)

Agreed.

Trouble is, if injury strikes we don't have anywhere near the quality of depth of players.

But to counter that I think we'll have very few players in Origin this year.

They'll probably even drop soward for carney. That'll do me.

That is true, and there is also a chance that Maloney could get Soward's spot. However the right decision was reached regarding Moltzen. We have some cover in the halves in Fien. As for fullback, we have Goodwin and Flo as cover.

Im confident of our top 8 chances and we will be in a good position for mid season and next season signings. Further I think we have a good damages claim against Wests, Moltzen and/or Tauber.

I've only heard Maloney mentioned here in this forum. A few times now. Is there a rumour coming from elsewhere? Expect CP to run a story next week. ;-)

Im just speculating over Maloney's origin prospects.

Maloney is a decent player, but IMO he hasn't done enough to be spoken about as an origin candidate.

Sowards only worry is honestly carney. I don't agree with it, but we all know how the selectors operate.

I think Jamie needs a big year in 2012. I also think hell deliver. Far more responsibility on his shoulders this year. We really need him to take control but also inject himself far more in attack. Without Gaz and Boyd I think price will need to change things a lot. Getting Jamie running is the top of the list I reckon.

I'm rapt the Moltzen saga is over. Yes I hoped he would be great for us but after a week of the fiasco I wiped the heartless sook and am glad he remains a tiger.
Our roster in my opinion still looks a top 4 squad and with Moltzen's reported $280K and whatever else we have spare we are in a great position.Dousty has reported we are in no rush to replace Moltzen, maybe for two reasons.
1.Their is no talent out there or 2. We have someone in our sights ready to sign or we may just top up contracts this year and make a play for a gun in 2013.
I'm expecting Chase Stanley,Leeson Ah Mau and Daniel Vidot to have breakout seasons and with Trent Merrin coming of age and pushing us forward I'm extremely optimistic about 2012.
Also on Toyota cup I can't wait to see Evander Cummins develop into our Billy Slater type fullback.Great times ahead.
