Glad they go to all the truble of playing these games in Sydney seeing as they get massive crowds down there.

Sorry, but the Sea Eagles got owned tonight. The Sea Eagles had there full strength team trying to blow the Sharkies out of the water but instead had their skirts blown up around their shoulders. Mark my words, the Sharkies will be a force this year and the Eagles will be taken back a few notches.

Yeh good call, the loss of a such a great coach and staff will be realised what that useless board has cost them.

Basically full strength and smashed by the Sharkies, who i tip to make the 8!

Holy shit! We lost a trial match that means less than nothing with 7 of our 1st grade squad out and half the game played by under 20's and NSW Cup players. The season is officially over!!!:lol: And yes, the Sharks were up 22-0 against the "1st grade team". Its a trial - so what?

I don't care which team it is, I have NEVER placed any value in these trial games as a gauge of how a team will go in the regular season. Good for teams ike the Sharks to develop some combos with new halves etc but for teams that are well and truly established and set in structures, whats the point? Other than potential injury........

Good luck to the Sharkies, I hope they do well this year. Anyone who wants to place any credence in a trial game can get on with me.:roll:

Dooooogiesbraaahhh has been salivating all offseason for a Manly loss so he can trumpet the greatest signing of all time. Long season pal. Long season. We'll see whose got the cattle to produce over 26 rounds of games hat count for something.......

I'm not exactly Manly's biggest fan but c'mon, you take out:

11. Watmough
12. T. Williams
13. G.Stewart

and claim you beat a full strength Sea Eagles? Please. Those 3 alone are enough to change a 20 point deficit.

Take out Gallen, J.Smith, Fifita and Toops and I reckon thats about even.

edit: actually it's not even, Gallen is worth all those three you mentioned on his own.

@ nice beaver...You can really tell you dont care.

Hey I'd much rather Manly win any game they are playing, whether its a GF or a game of marbles.

My point is that trial games mean NOTHING in the general scheme of how a season will go (unless you get star players injured).

I just find it funny that as soon as one team wins a trial and other teams lose it seems to map out the entire season for some people on here. Don't care if its Manly, the Sharks or any other team. Trials mean nothing when Round 1 comes around.

pretty surprising scoreline and you never know what to make of trials..however its hard to find any negatives from the sharks perspective..hope they go well this year!

Nothing out of the result.

Great to hear the new recruits Carney and Co all played well apparently.

Lets hope it wets their appetite for the real stuff.

I think trials do form some kind of indicator as to the mindset and preparation of a team. If a team starts out slow and lethargic in the trials, they'll more often than not start the season in the same manner.

Dude, the season is over it, we just lost a trial, no way back from it.
