Bunji and Farah are both very talented but just don't gel together. In fact noone gels with Bunji. He's an enormously talented guy, although not God's second son as the media suggest, but IMO not consistent enough to get the tigers a premiership. He rarely strings more than 2 decent games in a row yet his position as chief playmaker at the tigers means that if he has a shocker than they've got nothing.

I don't care if they lose as long as they play 100%. 1 and 3 when not playing a good game at all or even being at 80% effort, thats pathetic.

Only for heartless bandwagon supporters.

Look at the EPL and the fans who turn up to sing every week

correct, but i only said was hard, especially come october when its the same teams competing for glory. that suggests quite the opposite then heartless..

It's amazing how easy it is to overlook the fact that in every game this season we've had at least $400,000 worth of cap sitting on the sidelines.

Rd 1 - No Tuqiri
Rd 2 - No Tuqiri, No Gallaway
Rd 3 - No Tuqiri, No Gallaway, No Ellis
Rd 4 - No Tuqiri, No Gallaway, No Farah

That's four internationals.

Add Tedesco to that, mix in Marika Koroibete and you have your likely boom rookies gone for the season too. So no spark for the Tigers coming from that angle. Not to mention in the games he did play Farah had a broken nose for two of them. Marshall has copped two head shots early in the match in the past two weeks as well. Then there is just the inexcusable play of one Adam "Best Forward in the World" Blair (another 500k that would actually be better off on the sidelines) and the absurd decisions that supercoach makes week in week out and it should give you pause for writing us off entirely.

I don't think it can be explained just how much of an effect losing Tedesco had on the balance of the squad either. The fact that Reddy or Ryan haven't been given the job show that Sheens was never intending to use anyone other than Tedesco, so one can assume that a lot of attacking plays in the off season revolved around him. Especially considering how much involvement he had in the half hour he played in Rd 1.

Sheens treats the first half of the season like trial matches. Has done ever since he was here. It's same old same old. We'll be there at the end of the season.

It isn't closed yet, but with every loss it closes a little more. We aren't known for starting the season strongly, but I can't remember a worse start to a season that this one. Even 2007 when we went 0-4 the performances were good and the games were tight (ironically the 4 teams that beat us in the first 4 rounds played in the prelims that year), and we won our next 7.

If we can somehow tread water till the halfway point of the season and be 5-7 or even 4-8 (absolute worst case scernario) we have the talent to launch a late season charge IF everyone is fit. If we don't win it this year I would probably consider it closed, Ellis is going to be very hard to replace.

I called this in the Tigers forum over the off season.

I'm not laying the boot in, but if you look at history, then two razor close misses in two years is generally a recipe for a huge let down in year 3.

Add to that, they have never been the hunted before. They've always been the underdogs. Not any more.

They're finding out just how much everyone loves tearing down a tall poppy.

I'm personally enjoying it. But it is only Rd 4.

Despite the fact the tigs were terrible today, I can't write them off completely. Obviously without Farah they looked soft & with a good plan we'll exploit them for a win. I think they'll come good with Farah back, Blair will have been hauled over the coals by then and Humble needs to stay at fullback for some added spark.

I remember last year people were writing the Tigers off as well, disharmony in the club, etc. If they had manage to beat the Warriors (as they should of) they were playing Melbourne to see who would take on the Sea Eagles in the grand final.

That said, they do need to get off the canvas pretty quickly, maybe a honesty session is in order :sarcasm:.

I wouldn't write off any team that has Farah and Marshall. But their pack minus Galloway and Ellis is rubbish. Moltzen is awful. Their back three are sub par. The Tigers have had a terrible run with injury and will come good. But unless thet are careful they will need a mammoth run to even make the eight and unless you finish in the top 4 it will require a herculean effort to win the comp. Not looking too good.

I hate tigers, but they'll come good. Just need to win enough games to get to finals & they can still win it. Still think Melbourne will win it..... Unfortunately.

At some stage of the year we'll go on a run, hopefully we'll still be in the run for the finals when it happens.

At least we won't be missing any players come rep time.

They need a quality halfback. Should of tried buying a quality haflback the day prince sign with the titans. Benji wont and cant lead them to GF without a qauilty halfback. should of thrown all the money at cronk then blair

Sad but true, we had a chance to win the comp in 2010 and 2011 but f**ked up both.

Window is now closed. Losing Tedesco was crippling, Lui being a wife beater f**ked us and that pea heart spastic Moltzen is a waste of space and money.

We are also two props short yet even with injuries in forwards, we have a coach who goes into a game against one of the biggest forward packs in the comp with two fullbacks on the bench.

But of course nobody in the media will say a word about supercoach and his absurd selections.

Lui is a huge, huge loss. Say what you want about him as a human being but he is a fantastic half.

That will not be forthcoming with near to 50 missed tackles and half a million dollars worth of player playing like a $50 player found outside the pub on game day.

The same goes for my club. Difference with the Tigers is that once they win a game their confidence seems go from 1/10 to an 11/10 in the space of a week.

Couldn't tackle a wet paper bag but he was always good with ball in hand. Massive loss.

We have no fullback thanks to Tedesco's injury and no halfback thanks to the loss of Lui. We also lack two props. All a recipe for disaster.
