Yeah very weird that our 2 best players in Smith and Sims are absent for the 2nd week running.

I haven't heard a word about Pat all season. He didn't play any pre season and hasn't been sighted this year. He is listed in the squad still.
Maipele Morseau is another who is in the list but hasn't played at all, but at least we know he injured himself training with firstgrade.

Our for and against is 40 or 50 points better than Penrith before this game.
We easily have the best defence in the comp.

With SG Ball finished for the season we usually see 4 or 5 players step up to the NYC squad, but this year i can only see two or maybe 3.
Jake lawrence might step straight into the second row spot vacated by the injured Nathan Clarke. Jake is a class above the rest of our Ball squad, and he is a quality defender with an 80 minute motor, just like Clarke.
I noticed they gave Khaele Bowen 3/4 of a game at fullback in the last game of Ball. He looked a bit injured, but he showed some speed, good moves and strength in a few runs, and most importantly, he's not a short arse like his cousin Matt. He should be in the squad, but will be lucky to get a game.
Lock forward and star of last year's Ball team Luke Yeats has had a pretty quiet season, but he might get a squad spot.
Can't see anyone else getting a run, partly because we have such a good NYC squad already.
