I know this years season is a million miles from finished and some will object , but just to discuss footy again I think next years team might look a bit like this ...

1 Beale/Cummins
2 Nightingale
3 Cooper
4 Mattai/Green
5 B Moz
6 Soward
7 Stanley K
13 J De Belin
12 Creagh
11 Prior
10 Weyman
9 Rein
8 Hunt

14 Fien/King
15 Matthews/Frizell
16 Latimore
17 Merrin

Not bad at all.... I still find all the Matai speculation very very bizarre... but i dont mind that team at all...

I have a feeling that Fien might hang up his boots at the end of the season also...

Quite possible. Coops and Fien are the 6th and 7th oldest players in the NRL. And the injuries are seemingly becoming more frequent for both of them.

Old age is a terrible thing.

Yep, I agree with that.

I hope we get a look at Cummins this year if Morris gets picked for Origin.

I'd also maybe put Til Vea on the bench too. If we lose a few forwards to Origin I hope Vea gets a run. He is one of the boys Pricey coached to a Premiership and I'm pretty sure Pricey had him on the bench before he injured himself in the trial over in WA earlier this year.

I like the team. Will be interesting to see where Beale and Moz are played and how Vidot will fit into the mix.

Can I ask you a question though Ted.

I know you post in red as its Dragons colors. But why post in red? For people with eye-problems like me just makes it a bit hard to read. I'm not saying change it. Just yeah.

you have two specialist left centres vying for the right centre position?
what about vidot?
J. Stockwell should be on the interchange bench instead of latimore... stockwell will add far more value next season.
whilst i rate both stanley and soward as players, i think putting them together as the halves combination is very dangerous... we need a true general who will bark at the forwards and steer the team... neither of those play that style of game..

Stanley has shown nothing in the top grade so far this year to suggest the conversion to the halves is going to be a simple shift for him.

I have heard the Cattai rumour but I pray it doesn't happen. One player I can't say I'd like to see in the Red V. As for Cummins, I had the pleasure of watching him play against the Knights 20's as a mate of mines young bloke is in the Knights 20's squad. Cummins absolutely killed them and was the best on ground by a country mile. The dragons could have something special there. Reminds me of a raw B.Slater to be honest.

From what I've seen of Cummins, he is great talent but of course he just lacks experience. Still needs more game time before being pushed into first grade.

No I have moved Cooper because I think Cooper may have been a right centre moved for Gasnier , Might be wrong as the memory fades but there you are ..

what about vidot?'

I like Vidot as a winger , I'm yet to be convinced the stories of his bad reads in defence from his Canberra days are wrong . Love for him to make me a believer .

Yep your probably right I Forgot Stockwell sorry , But Price seems to favour Latimore over him at this stage.

Yet that seems to be the clubs plan reading between the lines imo.

I guess it's become a superstition for me On the last occasion I've posted in Black and white on a forum ( when colour is available) bad luck followed so please forgive. Is this better?

It's okay Pat I have been doing it for a while now. Apparently Red is hard to see So I've gone to Deep Purple people can respond with the usual Black Knight . Now if we could get a certain other poster to use the pale skyblue it would be perfect.
