Gallen's knee

Unreal, I post about how Gallen has moved away from grubby play and become injury free. Minutes later he knees a bloke in the head and walks off hobbling.

It was a sly one, but he was trying to knee him. Not sure if he'll spend time out, what's his carry-over situation right now?

Certainly a grubbier player than someone like Prior.

Intentional knee to the head not resulting in injury. Deserves a few weeks but he won't get that coz of origin

Vaguely remember something about that but not sure of the details. If correct, I withdraw my defence of him. Still prone to brain farts then.

What happened with that one? Got away with it I presume because the MRC/Judiciary don't like benching the stars?

Gallen, who has been charged 15 times by the match review committee in a 10-season career, was facing a one-match ban but did not risk an increased suspension by contesting the charge.

He got off.......

Will it really matter.......what with Origin just around the corner and NSW

........well

they really would like to win this year.

Taylor should cop 8 weeks on the sideline for that disgraceful headbutt, Ryles should also be suspended for good measure.

its origin time and he's a nsw player. he could have taken a bat onto the field and smashed someone with it and the MRC would ignore it

Here is something for you & your mates

Selective memory, JT kick to the head of a NSW player (Luke Lewis IRC) while prone on the ground, apparently didn't deserve a suspension either.

2011 he pushed the ref in the back V warriors but miraculously didn't cop a suspension.

On the knee didn't see it, was @ work. Anyone got footage of it ?

i think it was david williams he kicked. i thought he was charged but it didnt accumulate enough points? pretty sure even nsw supporters would have applauded kicking david williams.

pushing the ref after the ref got in his way...... funny how carney barreled archer and it was declared "funny"....

It was David Williams, and Thurston was charged. Escaped suspension with an early plea.

Selective memory indeed.

EDIT: already pointed out.

Thanks for clearing that up

Cheers

How you can escape any stint on the sideline (even with a early guilty plea) is beyond me. Obviously the grading was the issue.

EDITED

Just saw Gallen's knee, TBH if he misses origin it's a joke. One week at worst.

But then again we all know QLD will do anything to win origin.:sarcasm:

twas origin, almost anything goes. mcdrugal had one of the worst deliberately raised knees i've ever seen on julian o'neil and he wasnt even cited. I agree though with thurston that was a suspension offence. remember though hayne has escaped being banned for headbutting before

Luke was up to his old instincts tonight as well.

Gallen pulls up clearly injured. Lukes reaction, cannonball the legs :/
