Never mind Everton, they nabbed him from Wolves!

I'm up and watching, it's now 3AM and I've done the washing up and made lunch for today!

he'll come back to Goodison one day!...

I like the French jersey, classy retro style. I hope Valbuena comes on soon....

Crap second half, though I'm happy I got the scoreline right....

Random sidenote, Mexes is a prick! :)

Nice to see Schevchenko get a goal. He's still damn good for his age! I'm surprised.

Will the English media he complaining about the diving coming from their team? Only the nasty foreigners do it they said

Complaining about what a French man had to do to get booked. Cabaye should of been booked about 5 times.

Also complaining about Milner and Parker. Both rubbish. What Milner actually brings to a team is beyond me. Nothing going forward, misses an open goal, leaves Johnson exposed to Ribery constantly. Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish,

Watching the game we all wanted him replacing, until it was pointed out that it would be Henderson coming on!! FFS. If we get to the quarters it will be a shock.

Do you imagine France being New Caledonia as well?

Nah, New Caledonia won remember...

Shit England was boring to watch. Reminded me of Chelsea. It's a bit embarrassing really when the NT from the country with the supposedly best attacking and most exciting league in the world plays like that.

France should really have done a lot better.

Given today's results I think this could be the actual Group of Death - not Group B. Any of the 4 could go through.

Well there is nothing supposedly about it, but the national team do have a way of playing, and Hodgson is hardly the man to change it.

We had people who could run round a bit but not a lot else. We played Ox on the left when he is better on the right, we played Young on the right centre when he plays better from the left. We played Gerrard in a holding mid role but left Carrick, the best player in England at doing that at home.

Plenty of teams can hold the ball in the prem, so we take the two most limited midfielders in the whole comp and ask them to link between attack and defence? Its a shame both Wilshire and Cleverly had injury hit seasons, those two would make this team so much better. They will have to join Liverpool to get picked though...

We missed Rooney. Give him the room that Rami and Mexes gave Young and we win that game. Welbeck works so hard and drags the defenders all over, but we needed someone other than Milner to attack the box.

Boring game though. Benzema didn't want to play in the box and did a few pass backs to Hart from 30 yards. We didn't want to put more than 3 passes together. So the whole game was slow and played in the middle.

At one stage Carrick didnt want to play for England.

Has he changed his mind because they have lost a few central midfielders(Lampard and Barry come to mind)?

Dont know if he was available for selection or not.

Wont matter anyway.
England will be lucky to get through the group stage.

Wow! Never seen a match at a major tournament suspended before due to a thunderstorm. Looks crazy.

Benzema almost shat himself when that big thunderbolt went during La Marseillaise!

No way can they continue with that much water on the pitch. They'll have to abandon it. That'll throw the schedule out...

EDIT: Apparently they'll come back tomorrow to finish off the remaining 87 minutes. Advantage England and Sweden with the extra day recovery for Round 3.

Great game between Sweden and England, goals galore in the second half. England led 1-0 at half time only to fall behind 2-1 early in the second half, and now England are ahead 3-2 thanks largely to Theo Walcott.

Both teams have been pretty sloppy if I'm honest but it's been entertaining.

At least Gerrard has been good from Liverpool, very very good infact.

Im concerned Andy Carroll is doing a massive troll where he plays good for the last month of the season, plays well for England, Liverpool fans start spouting stuff about getting back in the top four then he and the rest of the squad play like spuds for 9 months. Hope im wrong!
