Kearney to leave Parramatta

The Irony of it all is that Kearney, and Nolan, have done some great work in sorting out the next few seasons for the club and who ever is stepping into the job will reap the benefits.

Bullshit. Kearney's legacy has to be overcome. The "building" bullshit was just that. Bullshit.

Time to move on.

Thanks Captain Obvious.

"Obvious"?!? Don't start pretending you know simple arithmetic.

Make sure now you start twisting shit and say how you wanted him gone all along.

I reckon they should have kept him until the end of his contract. But the board obviously knows better than me what's going on behind the scenes.

Either that or they just want to save their own arses. ;-)

I don't for a second doubt that he gave it everything he had, and for that I truly respect him and wish him well.

2) It's about damned time! Maybe he's a crap coach, maybe he just didn't fit us...I don't know. What I do know is that this year has been a write-off from the start and this is long overdue. We've gone backwards this year and we're a laughing stock, and this was with an improved roster. We've lost the chance to appoint a profile coach before the silly season started and we've paid for it.

This is long, long overdue and we'll feel the reprecussions of this delay into next year, as well.

But that's it folks, it's done. The likes of emjaycee and Suity will tell you that I have been a strong proponent of sacking Kearney all year. But that's it - it's over.

Let's stop bitching at each other and acting like children. Whoever the Hell gets the gig needs our full support and we need to support each other.

Onwards and upwards, fellow Eels!

I love you brother.

Suity

This is the most ugly, extreme, brutal, love-hate-masochistic relationship I have ever witnessed being played out over a forum.

In less than half the games too ;-)

No, I'm talking percentage-wise.

Kearney won 3 games this year for an 18% record.

If the new coach wins 2 or more games he will have a record of at least 29%. If he only wins one game his record will be 14%, which is less than Kearney's.

This is why "Captain Obvious" isn't as obvious as Avenger thought. You neither. ;-)

You can all whine as much as you like about the team's performances under the coach, but most of it stems from poor leadership and management of the football club in general, mostly in the past 3 years.

To which we added a rookie coach to try and sort out. f**king genius.

I can only assume that we have a replacement lined up, given the timing. Frankly the only un-employed coach I would be happy with is Phil Gould. At least he would have the profile to be above the petty internal shit that sticks to our clubs profile like shit to a blanket.

But we all want instant gratifcation from our football on a weekend, to remind us that our lives aren't so boring afterall, because, HEY! at least Parra is winning!! And when Parra dont, we all get on an internet forum and bitch about it, and its sooo much easier to focus all that frustration on a select few figures because I know better and then I feel a bit better because I got it all off my chest and now I am righteous.

That is all.

Before anyone thinks I have an agenda against Stuart I don't. But if the club thinks his the right man to build our club again there delusional, and I'll tell you why.

Just look at the state he left Cronulla in, only now have they become a decent side who are starting to attract some decent players. There shambles was all his doing.

The Roosters, he was good in his first couple of years and left them in a shamble also. His a good motivator and that's it. His far from the answer to our club's woes.

I really hope he isn't appointed, I suggest we appoint someone interim and see what happens who may become available. If not like someone above suggest Graham Murray would be someone I wouldn't mind.

Agree, Im a bit wary about Stuart's name being thrown in. He's been punted by two clubs. Id stick to Origin, there's a big difference in Origin and week in week out club coaching.

We need a bloke who's capable of rebuilding and understands the Parramatta club, blokes like Taylor, Dymock, and the bloke you mentioned Graham Murray.

I wouldve preferred him as an assistant than Chris Anderson.
