No it doesn't, you can't compare one year against another, right Pou?

That's right, even if you had zero turnover in your roster you would still get different performances as players get older and more experienced.

Don't forget some years you get more injuries than others.

Wrong. All the over 30s will be gone and all the young blokes will be a year older and better.

Thus, better roster.

And now with a decent coach we might just be able to recruit some even better players to bolster our 2013 squad.

The only way is up....

What a complete flogger. The handbags at 10 paces between the amigos and the dramaqueens has been hilarious and entertaining and I thank all involved, but you take the cake, your head is so far up your own arse you can't see that you are guilty of almost everything you accuse others of.

As far as our coach and management go, whomever we end up with let's hope for some stability and success in future.

This.

No worries Delboy. I was more just having a cheap shot at Pou and his regular habit of putting across his own thoughts as substantiated fact....

Everything we post on the internet is our opinion. That's why I don't endlessly ask people for links. Or are you saying everything you post is fact?

You've nailed it like a Luke Burt conversion.

Where's MK going next year? Hindy is a bigger loss than you think, I don't think we'll realise how much we miss him until next year when we don't have him making his gazzilion tackles, and chasing down loose balls and making try saving tackles like no other.

IN: Lussick, Harrison
OUT: Hindy, Burt, Poore, Shackleton, Fui?,

That's about 1000 first grade games worth of experience being replaced with 40...

There comes a point where more experience doesn't make a player any better, as old age starts to make them worse.

Why do you think merkins retire?

Our outgoing players aren't just being replaced by Lussick and Harrison. They are being replaced by blokes already in the squad who will be both more experienced and more physically mature next year.

We probably need a more experienced coach right now to get us out of this post-Kearney mess, but I reckon Dymock would make a great assistant under a coach like Stewart - and potentially a head coach in his own right down the track?

They might be more physically mature but that doesn't mean they'll be any good. They could just be like Junior Paulo... or Josh Cordoba... or Weller Hauraki... or Daniel Mortimor... among others.

Lussick and Harrison aren't even that good. They just add to a squad of fringe first graders.

What a load of bollocks. Kearney was a second rate coach, the "rebuilding" of the club is simply hype with retirements and development that would have occurred naturally regardless of the coach at the time.

"Would have occurred naturally?" So why was our squad so shit when Kearney took over?

Good squads don't occur naturally. They are built by coaches with a strong vision and the discipline to stick to it.

I'm implying that your posting history - and the disrespect with which you've constantly treated others here who have disagreed with you - result in you having no credibility left here

My credibility is just fine - the only people who say it isn't are the ones who are aware of how they would look if they called me a big meanie poopoohead, which is their actual problem with me.

And my disrespect for them is well deserved. Because they are morons and drama queens.

and after tomorrow's announcement you should seriously consider taking up a different username and starting from scratch with a different approach and manner.

I will happily remain as I am thanks. If you don't like it you know which link to click. ;-)

I am happy with my reputation amongst the few smart posters on this site - even the ones that don't like me - and will continue to enjoy discussing rugby league with them. I will also continue to enjoy laughing at the dummies, because I'm mean like that. Probably best if you ignore me.

yeah i agree but weather dymock would want too be an assistant and the eels when he can just stay at the dogs for that... not that i wouldn't mind it but if he does come here i don't expect it too be as assistant i wouldn't mind having ricky stuart or brian smith as coaching director and dymock or taylor as coach

The pieces all fit now..... Luke Lewis leaves after hearing Gus was heading to Parra..... Tomorrow Parra will be announcing Kearney is gone and Gus and Lewis will be signing. :sarcasm:

Obviously joking, but I reckon if they announce a coach tomorrow it will be Stuart. I don't think they will though, it'll probably be an interim coach, but I'd still say Stuart would be favourite though.

Cool, I'll look forward to us signing such a coach - it will be a welcome change imo to what we've had the past two seasons.

Each to their own then... and just because I'm toying with you now doesn't mean I didn't start ignoring the vast majority of your circular logic and disrespectful posts years ago. ;-)

Yeah, if I was learning my trade I'd be happy staying under a coach like Hasler for another few seasons. Maybe Jim will be next plus one?

I'd be happy with Stuart, or Taylor, or Smith, or Potter, or... Flanagan. Anyone with an acceptable first grade coaching record really.

That's your opinion... I have a differing one. These younger players you talk about aren't as flash as you think they are even if they improve next year.

The players leaving aren't as flash as you think they are.

I don't think we have a good roster for next year (I think it will be average) but it will certainly be an improvement even if we don't sign anyone else.
