Beau Ryan interview

A few important things to come out of it but none more important than this comment - 'The Tigers didnt come back to me until Monday (of this week) with an offer but by then it was too late.'

Prior to that Sheens was puffing his chest out saying 'there's some factions who want me out' but was confident he'd keep the job saying 'I dont want to leave the job undone.' Sheens also said 'there's going to be decisions (re retention) some people arent going to like.' THis was codeword for im gonna dump Ryan and Heighnington.

Whats happened is this - Humphreys and the board backed Sheens. Tim punts Beau and Hino and the public outrage makes the board reconsider. Last wkend they decide Sheens is out and on Monday make a last ditch attempt to keep Beau.

The fact the players are all so upset at losing their mate reiterates how much of a missed opportunity the last two seasons in particular ahve been. Tallis made the point at the start of the show that 'the Tigers should have won the comp the last two years.'

Tonight is only going to delay the execution for Sheens. They'll announce his departure the same time they confirm the new coach.

Triple M and Fatty Vautin are giving equally strong mail that Nathan Brown is the man.

Interesting times

It certainly did not cast WestsTigers in a good light. Ryan's love for the joint and his fellow players was there to see and how Sheens / Humphreys treated him was pretty poor. Sloppy and unprofessional. Why would anyone want to deal with our mob again under this lot?????????

This has been a long time coming for the Tigers. The lads in here know it.

Sheens / Marshall is the power base. They control everything. Sheens is desperate now and is making decisions that are the outcomes of things that were put in place over previous years.

Marshall / Sheens is now fractured, Humphries is in the spotlight and being exposed for the duplicitous prick he is (that apple didn't fall far from the tree) and the club is basically coming apart at the seems.

I dont exactly follow what theyre trying to do, they either back or sack Sheens last night if they had the means to pay him out.

I hazard that they are waiting til Sheens is either confirmed or denied at the Warriors.

FTR - I cant believe he could get another job. Why would the Warriors want him?

Finally - Robbie Farah has been very quiet in all of this.

Seems Humphries has outsmarted himself this time. Nothing against your club or Moltzen, but plenty against your CEO for the way he conducted the whole shemozzle last summer. Not that our CEO covered himself in glory either, mind you.

LMAO...karma baby...you would think the players would realise the shitty and unethical mannerisms of their CEO...started with Gibbsy..then moltzen...now ryan et al.

Not forgetting the backflip when they where chasing Mason, who goes on to have a good year at newcastle. Its like the heirarchy at the tigers is motivated by the media coverage and if the player is benjis flat mate or not...let me guess...moltzen doesnt live with benji anymore...now he is not needed...hahahaha..its going to be a fun next few years watching the crash and burn...same as the last few years

Playing group culture is utter shit.

That is what all of this proves. More concerned with chumming around then putting in and getting results.

Football players move on, they aren't moving to another continent, they will be less distance away then the majority of Sydneysiders commute for work every day

Have to laugh at all the Dragons coming out of the woodwork to sneer on this one... Must be tough not having a team to watch 'round this time of year. So glad we can give you something to do with all your unexpected free time.

Who've you got lined up to replace Hornby and the faux hooker?

Memo Bruce Gyngall.

Give Beau Ryan a contract before Fatty, Andrew Johns etc.

Beau doesn't like it if he is not the priority signing and may walk out.

Yeah ...its a trait tiger fans are so used to. Its good to feel what other teams fans experience once every 10 years or so...brings perspective on ones own success'.
Must be hard having all this build up as the team to beat...to once again finish out of the 8...12th no less.
As we re-build after the great service of Hornby and Young, you guys are imploding amongst yourselves. The sooner Benji doesn't run the side and Humphrey's doesnt run the club via a popularity poll, you guys may start consistantly make the semis, not your usual 1or 2 in 10 years.

Glad to see your so concerned with our club. You must live an awesome life if your day consists of trolling in a forum for a team you dont support. Keep up the good work champ

Not really interested in your perspective on the Tigers, dude. How about you answer the question instead?

Is there any chance that Ryan got offered 20% more than the Tigers offer and took it.

Has there been any talk on what he was offered from the Sharks.

Lets face it, he's only a winger

Hey sthammer,
For a bloke with so much crap to say about Benji Marshall . . . you might want to stick your nose back in the st merge forum and contribute to the thread about how the stains should make a bid for Benji.

I'm surprised that your crap team would want him . . . you know, considering how he celebrates a try and that . . .

Didn't you hear?

They lost 3 blokes who have played for Australia and signed a winger from brisbane. They'll shit the top 4 in next year.

We may not have made the 8 but when I look back there was one highlight where we smashed your pathetically shit team ending any sort of hope for the Dragqueens making the 8 and no better than watching Tin man Moltzen dismantle your team by scoring a hat trick.
