Beau Ryan interview

Take it easy lads. There's plenty we could say about the Tigers. Sometimes there are a few fools amongst a crowd.

Neither team made the 8, so no one should be bragging. You may have beaten us this year, and yes Timmy may have scored 3 tries. But I remember a similar result going our way early in the season and Timmy having a shoker.

The only thing we can both hope for is our U/20s making the GF.

I felt sick when Moltzen had that game.

Merely adds legitemacy to the myth that he is worth a pinch of shit or greater

The way they all acted at cambo against parra was worse, like they'd won the GF putting 7 or 8 tries on against the spooners

Bloody confusing what's going on at the club. Can't be bothered going back and finding the post someone made where they said something about beau walking out on his deal for a better offer, but come on who ever that it was a Rubbish call.

Going by his own information, he agreed to a deal. His manager had been chasing the contract since, with nothing forthcoming fom the club. His manager sought interest from other clubs as his client (beau) had no contract and no answers from the club.

Met with Flanno and Irvine and was made an offer. Agreed to that and arranged signing as needed to have his future secured.

Tigers came back Monday after being told and offered Beau his deal again and the contract to be signed.

Beau said I am sorry but have given my word to the Sharks (and no doubt other words about bing left up in the air since the initial agreement to terms)

Pretty shabby effort from the club really. Can't blame any player wanting to have the assurance of their future.

The club needs to weed out those responsible and tighten up the ship.

I just really hope they get the place sorted soon, so the supporters are spared this rubbish.

You really have to question why Ryan went ahead and announced he had signed when he hadn't....on live television to boot...

Maybe they signed an agreement on terms for inclusion in the contract but not the actual contract itself. In most other scenarios except the one WT find themselves in now, that terms agreement signing is pretty well it, the contract formality is just wrapping it up.

I think people are missing a key point here. Beau stated he was offered three years last season and the paper contract didn't appear. They did this a second time this year and again didn't deliver on a paper contract.

When it happened a second time he looked elsewhere and who could blame him for that?

The club has been completely unprofessional with this and with the Gibbs situation. I'm honestly disgusted by it.

Maybe they did it on purpose and maybe it is completely professional.

Gibbs, Ryan and Heighno are all players that I respect but we need to improve our roster and these players are all average players that are replaceable.

The club needs some change in the roster and I think a clean out is required.

You get players to agree in principal to the contract because you have not set your entire cap structure for the following year, need to work out bonuses etc and see where the manouvers are going to come in regards to recruitment/retention.

This is a common practice that happens at every club.

The difference is our guys run to the media and twitter etc when things don't go their way so we hear about it, constantly

That is the players or possibly the players managers fault.

Truthfully who gives a shit. We haven't performed to the level that is required and there needs to be some changes. Those changes are being made.

Some of those changes mightn't come off - i.e. Blair and Gibbs but hopefully they don't make those mistakes again. Ryan might also be a loss and Heighno could be as well but the likelihood on those two is fairly low.

I'm more concerned about who we buy for next year and on what dollars. We don't need Kite for instance on big bucks.

The club needs to be looking to perform to a high level on the field. That is where the whole thing ends. Of course we want a positive no dickhead culture and we want the players and coaching staff to be happy whatever that means. I'm pretty sure the players would be happier if they were in the finals rather than sitting in some dodgy pub having a cry because their friends are going to be playing elsewhere on top dollars next season.

He clearly stated that he had never signed anything in his Footy Show interview. Don't go counting your chickens before they hatch....that seems the issue here.

I heard the 2GB guys discussing the Tigers and in particular this observation regarding Ryan:

Blocker was talking how he is with all of the young guys coming through, he mentioned young Siro so you can assume he is getting that info from his best mate and neighbour.

Hadley mentioned how he sees him at the Footy Show and he, Ryan, does a great job with all of the young kids signing autographs and happy to have his photo taken with everyone.

Fulton simply mentioned based on those 2 above, the marketability of Ryan and how that is so important to a club.

This is what the Tigers have missed out on by being run by amateurs. Ryan may not have held down a 1st grade spot under a new coach at the Tigers (most likely the same at Cronulla in 2013) but his public face and what he can do with young kids, sponsors, etc, well that will simply be The Sharks gain and the Tigers loss.

It is pointless discussing Ryan now as he is the Sharks' problem. We should be discussing Nofoaluma and Koroibete, our future wingers.

I hope anyone crying over the loss of Ryan is watching his replacement today in the 20s.

Nofoaluma is a beast.

Nofoaluma played very strong Hybrid. Are they going to give him a go. He has issues as well - he scores tries.
