The wait is almost over folks. Season 8 to kickoff with the Melbourne Derby on Friday. Promises to be a pretty good start to the season crowd-wise too!

Rather ironic that the Mariners plays the first game against West Sydney at their (Parra Power) former home ground.

Crowds could well clear 100k for the round.

Be interesting to see what Crook does with ADP this week. I'd say last 30 off the bench.

42k opening night in Melbourne.

Round's crowds will easily beat the 87k record and should clear 100k.

Del Piero is already too good for this league even at the age of 38 and not even match fit, embarrassing to watch players who can't even dribble or string more then 2 passes together.

SFC's tactics look dreadful. The gaps between the back line, the midfield line, and the front line are huge and they seem to be wanting to play very narrow. Del Piero is about 47 classes above their other players. Poor first touches, horrific passes, Del Piero looks dangerous everytime though. He'll win games on his own, and he'll need to.

Fenton scores ... in one of the most memorable debuts in Phoenix history. Never heard of him before, but holy hell he's been magic.
