This will always be a hot topic because it's near impossible to please everyone. You'll have the group who wants ACDC or some Oz Rawk stuff, the ones who want a hard rock/metal song which will alienate more than it will please and you have the people who want the new stuff which has the first two groups calling it music for girls.

Personally that Switchfoot song "Dark Horses" sounds like it'd go well under a highlight reel whilst being both modern and guitar driven, but I by no means claim to be an expert.

AFL have actually got in to bet with Aussie music industry.

Can't see why the ARLC can't do the same.

Plenty of back catalogue and current Aussie bands around.

But then again, most people listen to Triple M all day, so wouldn't know. Gotye (aren't Triple M flogging that one to death) --- new!!! only one song!!! LOL!!! Got three albums chock full of stuff and his band The Basics...go check it all out.
