Swag?
YOLO, SWAG....All these slang words are a joke to be honest.
SWAG being the funniest.
I used to ask the kids at the school I worked at what it was and they would say "something we Africans got". It's a way of dressing and presenting yourself which they seem to think is cool. I think I would be bothered by it from kids in Bankstown, but I was endeared to it by the African kids at the school I worked at.Swag?
Swag?
sandals are not a part of swag. Things like basketball singlets are. It's something kids/teens use to define the way someone "presents" themselves. You know typical teens thinking they look like king-shit in their singlets, shorts and sandals looking all "good" and stuff.
Defintion as according to Urban-dictionary: It's a word that means to represent yourself/ the way you represent yourself, baggy clothes, shitty hats, small penis.etc.
Funny thing is, SWAG originated during the gay oppression in the US during the 1960's and was a acronym for "Secretly we are gay".
It's one of the most annoying, overused words and makes the generation look just bad.
lol so much like those homie twats who wear their jeans low with their boxers out the top. That trend started in prisons, it indicated that you were up for some man on man loving.

I didn't think that gay thing was true, I thought people used that "Secretly we are gay" line to make fun of people who present themselves that way.
thanks for those. I am glad both are false. After spending a lot of time with African youth who are into that subculture, I came to like the fact that they had it. The kids I worked with, most of them presented themselves well with their swag. None of them actually sagged (I would have a problem with that). But it gave them a sense of pride in being African which a lot of the younger generation don't have, I am not talking about westernised Africans, I'm talking about people relatively fresh from central parts of Africa, particularly east and west Africa. The young ones will tell you that they don't like being so black and when you can see some shame when they say the name of their country. And they are obviously African so they can say Africa, but anything which helps them see being African as a good I think is good. Even if it's because swag is "something we Africans got".
What kind of problem would you have with it? People should express themselves how they like. If that involves wearing their pants around their ankles, then so be it. I don't want to live in a world wear people can't feel free to choose how they present their identity, visually or otherwise.thanks for those. I am glad both are false. Oh, sorry... I thought you meant in day to day life. Carry on.I worked at a private school. It took in a big population of refugee kids and had a few free dress days, but there is still a standard for dress
