I think Penrith so the reason they are going after Manly is because the other 3 are shit.

Also, Manly are merkins.

I have been told by another fan that he never treated anyone at Penrith, he was just a consultant for us setting up our sports science department, so hopefully that is true for us, but you never know. Best to check out everyplace this bloke worked for imo, dont wanna miss any cheats.

Yep it would be very serious. Drug authorities also expect a player to be responsible for what they put into their bodies. If this dodgy f**k was putting banned drugs into the players even without their knowledge its pretty much the same as the player doing it on purpose as far as punishment goes.

They also don't need a positive test and can put a case together on a bunch of other things.

I hope all the clubs are taking a look at sports science programs and who they have in those roles.

If it's true he worked with Cronulla, could there be any link between his 'sport science' activities and Reni Maitua's drug ban?

No because reni was with us in 2011. When the bloke was helping sharks

Manly did not try and hide anything, their was heaps of press at the time about the calves blood and other supplements.

Seems to me the NRL are just reacting to the massive negative press the AFL are getting on the subject. Maybe they should have looked at it years ago when it first came to light.

Anyway like most mini royal commissions their will be scapegoats and cover ups, I mean imagine if a top line elite players was found to be involved in the scandal, what would the spin doctors be telling the NRL to do. Could be fun times but my guess will be blown away once the football starts

Yeah if it is banned and it is in your body you are pretty much f**ked, doesnt matter how it got there, whether you knew etc.

Also Firechild would the dogs be forced to honour that contract?

The reason manly are being investigated is because they had the supplements etc and to check the books IF there was any others that weren't previously known about.

Imagine the scrutiny Don Bradman would have been under if he had played his last innings in the 21st century...

Changed my original post as I found out reni was with us when the bloke was with sharks but what exactly was reni caught for? What drug? I thought it was coke. But remembering back I think there was an article a year into his ban where reni revealed he did coke recreationally before

WITNESSES who fail to co-operate with the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority will face civil penalties under a new bill set to impact profoundly on Australian sport.
A representative for federal sports minister Kate Lundy confirmed to Fairfax Media on Wednesday night that the ''Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority amendment bill 2013'' was introduced within 24 hours of the revelation that Essendon are to be probed for players' use of possibly illegal performance-enhancing drugs.

Could make life interesting for a few of the players if there is any truth to this whole thing.

Match fixing is a real problem when organised crime use it to make millions of dollars. That is the big picture problem. Not a shit club trying to be more shit so it has better draft picks to waste.

You can kill two birds with one stone by doing both of what you mentioned.

My dad was a pretty famous sportsman in his day....going back a long while now.
He reckons they used to be given handfulls of pills and they would take them without any questions.
