There has probably already been a thread like this before, but let's go again.

There are plenty of web browsers out there. Which one do you use?

I use Chrome for most things, although the website I need to use for work will only work in Firefox.

I'm forced to use IE when I'm on an office computer. It's brutal.

Very. It is absolutely horrid. The loading times, even on a fast pc with plenty of ram and juice to spare is very, very long. Don't get me started on tabs... you may as well open up a new window altogether!

I feel for my students. Their entire course is online and the only browser they have access to is IE. Thank God our IT team is working on getting Firefox and Chrome installed on all workstations.

What gets the points for Firefox is that you can customise it so much for your needs - apart from tweaking, you can also add stacks of add-ons such as video downloaders, video-mp3 converters and even a little gadget that can save webpages as pdf. It's the smartest, most powerful browser I've ever used.

What's the most popular browser for smart phones?

Chrome unless IE is specified.

Some of the html interfaces I use for work only run properly on IE and it is f**king annoying. When will companies learn that no IT staff, none, will choose to use IE.

Chrome and Firefox. Often half screened and multi-tabbed, at the same time .

And forced to use IE at work :(.
