Don't wish to rain on your Parra parade, but why would the dogs want Hayne when they have Barba?

Sorry, Parra dudes but I rate at less 4 current fullbacks above your man - Slater, Barba, Stewart and Bowen.

Derp ! He's talking about circa 2006.

Hayne to 6, Reynolds to 7, and KK out to pasture?

Or when BB rejoins the EBC, Hayne back to fullback.

good news. at a guess th two years extension may be so that when the next contract is coming up he can test his worth again and/or so that he knows who will be coaching as stuart's current contract runs out then as well i think.

Good thinking, I agree.

Great news by the way. When his contract is up in 2015 he will be 27 and at his peak. Then the serious coin will be commanded.

Great news, can't blame him for only re-signing for 2 years either after our past couple of poor seasons. There's only so many players with his talent in the comp thus an essential re-signing.

2 year contract seems strange - isnt the end of 2015 when the nrl would consider expanding the comp?

Us Eels fans should be overwhelmingly excited about this, but....................??

Here's hoping he can re-gain form and live up to potential (and pay scale).

Not sure that it is too 'strange' (partic as it finished nearly 3 seasons from now). There's a fair bit of uncertainty regarding the long run level of the salary cap, so it makes sense (for both sides) to limit your contract horizon.
