What do you collect?

Are there any collectors on here? I'm talking about any collections from the really intriguing to the downright bizarre. I've always been intrigued by the types of things people collect and love to talk to people about things they collect.

I collect crown caps from beverages I drink. I mostly collect beer caps (seeing that's what I usually drink) but also collect soft drink caps. I currently have about 150 from local drinks as well as on my travels. I also have a small number I have found. As a marketer by profession they intrigue me as I see each as a piece of advertising from the company that makes them. They also bring back memories from holidays or special occasions.

So what else do people here collect?

I collect movie tickets. Don't know why, at first I had just forgotten to throw out several but then it sort of turned into a tradition. It's interesting to look back on a record of the movies you saw and when you saw them. The great movies and the not so great you spent 20 bucks on.

Yeah my hobby was similar. I drank a few beers and thought the bottle caps were cool so I kept them. Before I knew it I had a whole heaps and each reminds me of a certain place or day.

For example I have a Coca Cola, Corona and Heineken bottle cap from my Wedding day.

I have about 100 sporting event tickets, I started collecting them when I was a kid. Most of them are pretty straightforward club NRL and A-League games but I have a few interesting ones.

I collect DVDs in a way I guess. I want to own everything I've ever liked on DVD.

I don't know if you're from Wollongong or not (seeing as you're a Saints fan), but there is this guy at Dapto markets with a collection of literally HUNDREDS of Australian and foreign coins and notes, both old and new, for sale..

I collected every quarter for each US state as I got change. That's perhaps the most recent thing I've got. Rhode Island took about 8 months to get.
