Did collect basketball and footy cards as a kid but nothing really since then.

I used to collect DVDs, Magic cards, and Eldar in 40k. These days I collect experiences for my bucket list, but I've also just started collecting Chaos for Warhammer again.

I also collect Pathfinder books.

As I mentioned, I don't collect anything.

Then I tried to go back and figured out I used to collect footy and basketball cards.

However, reading your post I remembered I used to love 40k (going back, like, 15 years). None of my friends played it or had even heard of it. I never figured out how to play it myself, or even painted a miniature, but there was always something cool about those little guys. I sometimes visit the Games Workshop website and check out what's going on. It was always so f**king expensive though. But if I collected anything I'd fork out for a mad Blood Marine army (Saints colours, after all).

This morning reminded me that the train station on a Monday morning is a great source of bottle caps. Found a new Smirnoff bottle cap this morning. Probably found about 10 bottle caps in my collection at various train stations haha.

The hobby went through a mini boom in the town I went to high school in. There were about 15-20 of us playing and collecting for a good two years or so. Had weekly meet ups and scenery contests and everything. They were good times.

Just starting again now strictly as a collector and painter. Not even sure I'll confine myself to a single army.

DVDs mainly. Have around 300 now. I have some I haven't even watched that I bought years ago. Never download or borrow any movies or TV shows because if I want to watch it, I must have it.

Also Rugby League Weeks, they really aren't worth the money for the content they have in them but I always get them without fail and have several hundred piled up.

Collected Lord of the Rings toys when I was younger.

Cigarettes-one from every brand I have smoked. Ironically I haven't smoked for two years. Wondering if I should keep them for posterity sake or just fling them into the rubbish.

Never heard of people collecting actual cigarettes. Many people trade cigarette packets though. Recently traded a guy in Brazil one of the new plain cigarette packs for a Brazilian beer bottle cap.

Yeah there are two systems that work together, Hordes and Warmachine, Warmachine has steam power warjacks and Hordes fury generating beasts.

This is the main site - www.privateerpress.com
This is a good place to pick up new models online cheap - http://defiantgaming.com/shop/index.php
Finally this is a good place to chat with regards to the system and pick up really cheap second hand models - http://www.wargamerau.com/forum/index.php?act=idx

Another system work a look is Malifaux.

Fingernails, hair clippings, and spit from Misanthrope. I'm hoping to work a love potion.

Failing that, I'll glue them all onto IanG and make do.

Let's see...

These days I just collect Big League magazine. I just like having them handy as I watch the game and look back on statistics.

I also have a collection of David Middleton Rugby League Yearbooks starting from 95. Should try and finish that and scout back to 87.

Past collections
Tazos - Who didn't? Looney Tunes, Simpsons, DBZ, Mortal Kombat Alf. Pogs were the best man.

Trading Cards - Pokemon, had to catch them all. Had all sorts of different series and even collected Rugby League cards at one point. My bro went crazy though, at one point he got my old man to get him all the original Yugioh cards. Still have stacks of folders in his room.

Video Games - NERD. Well yeah...had neat collections for N64 (Paper Mario FTW) up to PS2. Stopped this generation.

CDs - Like Cliffy started buying them around 06/07 but didn't reach anywhere near 500...Looking back, glad 16 year old Pete didn't. My hardrive didn't need anymore Post-Grunge music.

I collect items with the colour green, particular shade of emerald, or very close to it. Yes, I know its odd --- shit happens. I am simply entranced by this colour. Other greens don't interest me, just this one shade. Anything I want, be it a shirt, phone cover, whatever, I always endeavour to acquire it in green. I even make it a point to women how deeply appreciated green lingerie, swimwear, earrings, dresses, etc are (green lingerie isn't common, so you usually have to raise the point). Anything emerald green is something for me. Most extreme thing I think I've done is pay a guy to trade with me when we got the last two available PS3 controllers & his was green. It had to happen.

Wish the Roosters wore it.
