Rumour is Smith will resign.
If true Ray Hadley has singlehandedly taken out a NRL CEO. If you thought his ego was big before today...
Fascinating. We never had a 2IC before.

Has this "mole' creature ever been correct???
This is possibly the structure they should have had from the outset. Smith to manage and make the money and Greenberg to oversee fiascos like ticket prices at a City/Country game. (Yes I'm simplifying their roles).
I'm not a massive Greenberg fan but it does make sense having someone who knows a bit about the game making decisions for the game.
f**k me dead. Sounds like a few of the usual morons around here think that fixing the issues in league is as simple as walking into the NRL offices and saying 'Alakazam'.
And f**k Hadley. f**k him royally. This dense prick once again pretends to speak for the average Joe as has been his tactic and rise to infamy since he started his woeful career. Hadley doesn't give a f**k about families or their financial difficulties, he's just using that old chestnut as a way of attacking a bloke who probably sees through Ray's bullshit.
Just maybe Greenberg, or someone like him should have been given the job in the first place.
Pretty sure thats the plan, Greenberg can deal with the Chewbecca's and the Sloths while Smith can concentrate on running the game.Oh and f**k the mole.
If Greenberg has signed on as 2IC then it's great news - Smith can concentrate on the financial and structural side of the game which is his forte and Greenberg can tackle the general league issues.

The Dogs are a sinking ship????Well this is the interesting point here. Wasn't Greenberg approached to do the job but knocked it back?????? If that is true then why jump now, so soon after saying no to the NRL position???? Or was it media pushing for Greenberg to be given a role late last year????
Suggestions?
CANTERBURY chief executive Todd Greenberg is expected to leave the Bulldogs and assume a role at the NRL as second in command.
The NRL has called a press conference at 1pm today where embattled chief executive Dave Smith is expected to unveil a raft of management changes.
Former New Zealand Rugby League boss Jim Doyle is also expected to win a new role.
