Read today there are no guarantees Dugan will even line up against Parramatta this week. So what exactly are they waiting for? We have signed the guy and that took freakn weeks...please play him now ffs.
Only guarantee is the side selected will be wrong with Fein still at 1/2, Soward still at 5/8 and a f'ing forward somewhere in the backline. Oh and they will only play 2 of their better young forwards for limited minutes while keeping pedestrians like Creagh (sorry he is just not the dynamic player he was and is very marginal captaincy material) on the full 80.
Keep doing the same old shit will only end up with the same result. My fear is the longer it goes on we will have some good young prospects but with shattered confidence. Sorry state of affairs and we have another year of this crap at least. Hate seeing my team being so mediocre. that is all!

1. Dugan
2. Green
3. Viot
4. Cooper
5. Nightingale
6. Soward
7. Quinlan
8. Weyman
9. King
10. Stockwell
11. Creagh
12. Frizell
13. Merrin

14. Hunt
15. De Belin
16. Rein
17. Mathews

Vidot is more effective on the right. Even though his defensive reads are no better than Stanley's, his go forward out of our 20m is far better than Stanley's.

Harrison has been disapointing in the past few games and along with Prior, needs a stint in the Cutters.

Green outside Cooper is defensively a very solid combo.

Quinlan at half and Dugan at fullback might just give us the spark tin attack hat's missing.

What I dont understand is that Vai Vai is an actual centre correct? He's particularly well known for his attacking capabilities more so then his defence... Why does Price pick a front rower ahead of him? ffs give him a go Price the season is kind of a wash at this point...

With the 2014 recruitment drive showing results we should be using this season to try players to see who's worth keeping and who isnt...

Because he didnt want our left side defence raped with Vidot/Vaivai/Soward left to the slaughter, it would be more net damage than the gain of having an extra attacking centre.

Dont get me wrong I know where your coming from, but I think it was the right call, Morris isnt there either, so its not like our star winger is being starved any ball.

I also think Price has really fixed ideas on which kids he will promote & in what positions (I mean he is the coach, fair enough right..), but same as last year, he resists change as much as he can, it takes him months to "react" to issues in his line-up.

Ohh and I agree Rev about the lack of defence it could create but its not like we are going great guns in defence anyway. Price keeps saying that our "gameplan" all starts with our defence and I couldnt agree more but I think our biggest defensive issue is in the middle of the field.

We leak so many metres up the middle its not funny and it doesnt matter who is defending out on the fringes we are always on the back foot once the ball is spread.

And that is our fundamental problem!! :)

For those of us that think otherwise, go have a look at our Captains body language in the titans post match presser. Ben's demeanour was hardly one confidence. Well worth a squizz.

Yeah there isnt a lot of innovation from Ol Pricey, but the press conference was actually one of the better ones (for price anyway), but only because the press has worked him out now, they asked some very specific questions about key moments in the game, and they also asked it in a very empathetic way to help get past his bullet-proof cliche-vest.

It's what happens when you're trying to operate with a sub-standard roster (see, I resisted using the other word starting with c and ending with p, whilst making the same point).

OK, so if Bellamy was coach, with the same roster, which kids would he be bringing in?? Drinkwater, who has defensive and involvement issues?

Anyway - Drinkwater, Green, Cook, and now Quinlan have all been used at various stages already.

It seems easy to make these accusations against Price without considering what he has tried already....

A tweak here, a tweak there, does not imply a willingness to explore alternatives,. But should circumstance dictate, he will have no choice but to do so.

Oh ive been pretty clear over the past 2 years, im like a broken record.. the biggest development issues were:

- Kyle Stanley who needed to be dropped early 2012, to the cutters in the #6 jersey in preparation to come back into 1st grade in that position.

- Vidot I also would have dropped back to Cutters last year at the same time (single handedly lost us about 3 games and a shot at the finals), I asked for him to be moved to right side, possibly try right centre for the cutters atleast a month before Price finally saw the writing on the wall.

- Cummins could have had a chance at some stage last year, it was a gamble and I dont blame Price on this one, but 1st grade experience would have done him wonders in an obvious development year

- Quinlan could also have come in the last 1-2 seasons, its just a question of position and I know its not easy because you dont know what injuries you will cover.. but they played him on the left wing this year, was he ever going to actually play left wing in 1st grade? And if not that was a waste of development time

- Vaivai was the most in-ur-face obvious selection last week at left centre (before Morris was injured), was the exact time for giving him a crack

- Drinkwater im on the fence about, but I would have went with him over Fein at start of season anyway, hoping that he stepped up in a development year, Fein is the safe conservative choice and like most fans we were seething pre-season.. but I can understand Price's thought process on this one, but still.. it is conservative.

Also I would not call a 20 minute run 'once' in which he actually went pretty good as giving him a go in 1st grade.

- King needed to see more minutes when he was selected on the bench, giving him 20minutes a game was just pointless for everybody, especially his development

Thats the players off the top of my head, I understand why Price does what he does, but he is an Ultra-Conservative coach, and he doesnt take gambles on kids (until the horse has bolted), but fundamentally the difference is that I saw 2012/2013 as our development years to get some of the kids ready for when we have a decent roster ready to roll.. Price plays more for short-term success and his job, hey I get it, but Id rather a coach with balls.

I know it's not really his fault, but Prior looked terrible in the centres yesterday. He was shut down in attack on most occasions, and was found out for speed in defense. Really hope the coach tries something different this week. Would of thought Vai Vai is pushing for a spot - especially if Soward find any kicks too hard.

Guys

Im certain the below players need to come into the team immediately.

Runciman - is a gun and knows how to score tries...has scored 8 tries in the last 4 weeks including 2 tries for NSW
Quinlan is a 5/8 - he runs to the line much similar like a young Lockyer
Dugan - our new messiah!
Spine of 1,6,7,9 looks pretty exciting..

Team vs Parra

1. Dugan
2. Vidot
3. Cooper
4. Runciman
5. Nightingale

6- Quinlan
7. Soward (needs to practice goalkicking all week - bring in Hazem to coach him)

8. Weyman
9. King
10. Hunt
11. Frizzell
12. Creagh
13. Merrin

Runciman a bit of a gamble but why the hell not at this stage, and honestly Cooper is prob back this week anyway.

I agree to an extent on Price being slightly conservative in some selections however the inconsistency of results has attributed to this approach. How do you make changes when your side loses its first 3 then the same side wins its next 3. Now we've had 3 more losses, the past 2 of which we were competitive and could have won?

Apart from a couple of injuries we are fielding the same team week in, week out that we fielded last year. The results are the same, the team is playing the same type of football and we are making the same unforced errors and giving away the same silly penalties. Surely the current incumbent first graders have had more than enough opportunities to turn things around. It is now time to give some of the youngsters a chance.

Give Drinkwater, Quinlan, Runciman, Vai Vai, Mathews etc a chance..new blood might bring more confidence and enthusiasm to the more senior players

Yeah throw em all in at the deep end.
Sink or swim.
That's the way to coach a footy team.
Genius.

In all seriousness from your perspective can you tell us what Steve Price is doing well? Could you tell us in your opinion how he is preparing us for success in this year's comp and how you think he will plan to have us in a threatening position in 2014 (aside for the year-to-late recruitment)?

I am keen to know what you think.
