Seems dead in the water if you believe today's stories. Who knows.
J MOZ would be real handy though!

There are report's in today's media that the bulldogs cannot afford Falous asking price.

If this report is true then it seriously effects the dragons ability to sign Josh Morris.

I'm hoping this is not the case as I was leed to believe that it was basically a done deal

I'm not giving up hope......

I read it as saying that the reason they couldn't afford Folau was that they weren't willing to release JMoz early...

Folau wants a lot more cash (more of a marketting gimmick imo).. he is the better player, but id much rather JMoz anyway, always want a drgaons boy to come home, especially a twin brother.

I think we are well enough covered in outside backs for next year that we dont need to resort to an $800k player...

Would take Falou in a heart beat .Williams Widdop Beale Falou Morris Nightingale DUGAN....best backline in the nrl opposition team's would be shitting themselves. ...

Yeah he just doesnt make sense as a purchase, JMoz would be pushing it at 350k or whatever he is worth, actually even he would prob be closer to 450-500k.. he is an Aussie/NSW center.. but if the reports that he really wants out are true it could make it easier.

I don't think guys like that are great value. We don't really need another back. We need a half and a prop. Morris is an exception because he is Morris. But if we were to target another back I'd rather a cheaper option like Lafai and spend the money in the pack.

I think the ARLC wil chip in to bring Falau back to the NRL. It looks to me like the Dogs are just positioning themselves to get Falau with some ARLC subsidy.

The big upside to someone like Folau is off the football field. Corporate sponsors would pay for him twice over much like they did for Wayne Bennett. He would be on every league advertisement along Sonny Bill if he chooses to stay longer at the Roosters. The NRL would want Folau, I'm sure whoever is talking to him is also in deep conversation with the NRL, I'd be happy to see him in the red V

Makes sense, the way they chipped in to help Parra get him.

Things have changed and Smith has come out saying things will be handled differently in the future. Last time the salary cap man stuffed up big time and I am sure that in the not distant future you will find that he is gone or he is part of a panel.

Jenninga, I think is odd that on each occasion no matter what the subject, we find ourselves on the opposite side of a discussion.

Are you genuine or are you just one of those rats who hate possms.

Seems illegal to me that a club can get a player under their cap for less than he is worth, even worse that the NRL would be funding it to happen.... doesnt matter how it looks on the books, the result is the same.

However under the bigger picture I can understand there is good reason to protect the game by keeping players like this in-house, but I thought Toddy Greenburg & co's role was more to cut red-tape & delays, not subsidise anything, but im still at a loss to what happened with SBW/Jennings/Maloney in 2013.
