This Us vs Them is long gone

The story is not about whether which board is in control.

It's a story pointing out that our CEO is behind or has his fingers in it so to speak regarding the Craig Catterick situation and the bullying and harassment of a female staff member.

Ken is the boss at the end of the day and I hope for his sake nothing comes out of this cause he seems a decent bloke in the times I've spoken to him.

Matter of fact I emailed him yesterday regarding a membership idea for all of us.

I find it interesting how quiet certain people were under the 3P reign, cause there were never any leaks then :roll: All of a sudden the new board are useless cause stuff is leaking.....but hey, they're neutral, they support the club!

This club has been dragged through the mud since about 08, 3 parties are now responsible, I don't give a shit who fixes it but petty shots constantly can't be helping anyone!!

Agreed, this shit is never-ending. Now wonder why we can't sign anyone who would want to sign on to this???

I really can't stand all this board bullshit. As much as I dislike clubs like Manly and the Dogs, the friction on their boards do not command as much space in newspapers as we do.

I wish the divisions would pull their heads in. They have a common interest in the club itself apparently. Would be great if they actually stopped bitching and got on with it.

Really so over the whole bullshit..... I couldn't give a f**k who supports who either. 3P, Fitzy or the plumber... If your on their card pull your own heads in and stop helping perpetuate the bullshit.

Re the UNE stuff....if Ken was cool on the idea....good on him as far I see. If the top of our brand development / corporate sponsorship aspirations is a mid-ranking, small, out of town University, then we are truly rooted. And of course, there's been another development taking place during the period of the apparent negotiations.....UNE will have had several million $ taken out of their 2014 and 2015 budgets by the recent 'efficiency dividend' imposed by the Fed. Who really cares who wants to give you your sponsorship money. It is the company's money and their strategic direction, if they see benefit in sponsoring one of the major reasons the highest distributing newspaper in the country sells its newspapers then so be it. NRMA sponsors the Broncos... why would a New South Wales only based insurance company sponsor a team in another state? Why, because they want a piece of the Qld action too, a strategic plan.

Plus UNE only gets funding from the Fed Government, it is not answerable to it, so isnt subject to any imposed 'efficiency dividend' like other Government Departments or potentially the ANU.

The only thing that would stop it all is private ownership or a set up similar to the Raiders where one body has control and just appoints people to offer strategic advice. It has become ridiculous. But the biggest issue is that we are the ones selling the Telegraph so they call up everyday looking for a story. Earlier this year a mix-up training venues and times made back page news.

What is the story with Edwards and Catterick? Surely this was Sticky's call and the club just had to wear it? Why would Edwards say it is him or me? Surely this seems more related to the Edwards / Spagnolo?

Im sure more will come out on the Media Manager sacking...who knows whats doing there?
