What a shambles. And If Fitzy is employed the by the club the farce will be complete.

f**k me. I don't know who is more annoying. You or these three. Actually I think it's a 4 way dead heat....

Who really cares who wants to give you your sponsorship money. It is the company's money and their strategic direction, if they see benefit in sponsoring one of the major reasons the highest distributing newspaper in the country sells its newspapers then so be it. NRMA sponsors the Broncos... why would a New South Wales only based insurance company sponsor a team in another state? Why, because they want a piece of the Qld action too, a strategic plan.

My point is that you want to maximise your sponsorship income and brand development in the long run, not the short run (unless you are near insolvent). I have no problem with UNE offering us money (or with that institution)......just believe that we are better off 'hastening slowly'. Given our location, 'fan' base and the broader demographics, we should be shooting to build a long-term relationship with a large corporate that does (or will do) business in town.

Plus UNE only gets funding from the Fed Government, it is not answerable to it, so isnt subject to any imposed 'efficiency dividend' like other Government Departments or potentially the ANU.

With respect, this statement is wrong. In April, the Fed Govt announced changes to uni funding affecting all federally funded unis (calling it an 'efficiency dividend), including UNE. UNE reckon this will cost them $4.5-$6m over the 2014 and 2015 years. And they have to work out where that will come from. And sponsorships are a fair bit more discretionary (and less popular with the unions) than salaries. This efficiency dividend has nothing to do with the mechanism of the same name affecting govt. depts.

What is the story with Edwards and Catterick? Surely this was Sticky's call and the club just had to wear it? Why would Edwards say it is him or me? Surely this seems more related to the Edwards / Spagnolo?

Im sure more will come out on the Media Manager sacking...who knows whats doing there?

Cat went from head trainer to Football manager when Trent came in. After that, who knôws what may of happened.

I enjoy how many officials recently have talked about Jack Gibsonisms, but then clearly have no f**king clue what he meant

My guess would be the same thing that happened to Andrew Hill when Paul Osbourne was hired. You don't need an FOM when you have a CEO of Football. The FOM position has always been to run football operations and report to a joint CEO, as per Denis and Bentley.

Despite the actual author of this story, the fact that its now in print form in a public forum, I have some real concerns.

I alerted you all regarding the major sponsor stuff up and I got shot down. I didn't know Catterick took action against the club. WOW

The gripe I have is the harassment and bullying towards a female staff. This is disgusting and morally wrong. Michele must have some proof if she is going all the way with this and this could tarnish our brand.

I only hope for the sake of the club this is not true cause if it is, heads must roll.

The usual will come on here and say Joshy 3P blah blah. Look at the content of the article, if he didn't have actual fact, there is no way Ian Heads would allow this to go to print.

No doubt today is a very interesting day.

I thought you previously said the sponsor pulled the pin because we voted in a new board? The article suggests it's because of Ken.

I too wanted change at the club but this new board has been an utter shambles.
So unprofessional.

How anyone can be surprised at this is beyond me Snake. Look at the quality that other rabble of a club Cronulla have just appointed and compare them to our illustrious losers. Unfortunately I'm green with envy.

I'm afraid now, without doubt, Parramatta have no peer as the worst run club in the boardroom and the worst performing club on the field in the NRL as well.

We've been winning gold on both fronts for a number of years now and I can't see anyone coming anywhere near close enough to take our title away from us.

All hail the Parramatta Eels, the reining mighty champions of mediocrity!!! Proudly holding up our wooden spoons, filled with poison.

Long live the losers, long live the losers, long live the losers, long live the lo...!!!
