I did, there was too much emphasis on the leaders disdain for tradition, and her love of power. A downfall was inevitable.

Don't get me wrong, it was a great storyline, the best in Skyrim, but nothing got anywhere close to the level of the party quest or finding Lucien Lachance strung up and flayed IMO. Killing the Emperor was cool though.

I feel like almost all of the storylines in Skyrim and Oblivion were just too short. For a game with 100s of hours of gameplay, they seemed to get lazy when it came to writing compelling plots.

Both main storylines (particularly Skyrim) are short and the Civil War storyline is laughably brief.

I don't mind the length, i can get a good 2 Call of Dutys worth of time for each questline, and with there being like 5 major lines, that's a good 10 Call of Dutys in the game, just quickstepping around and only focusing on the stories.

I was extremely disappointed with the Imperial side of the Civil War. That's the side i first picked, and it was over in like 2 fights.

I once played Oblivion with no fast travel. Really pads the game out, and adds some pretty awesome immersion.

I imagine it would. FCOM Convergence really fleshes it out too. More creatures, none of that scaled bullshit where everything is your level, and a lot more NPCs that interact with the world around them. Hunters hunting, peddlers, adventurers in dungeons etc.

Did you ever try ones like Frostfall in Skyrim? Having to worry about finding shelter and food and staying dry made it a lot more challenging.

Not a huge fan of hardcore mods. Tried the vanilla hardcore on FO:NV but couldn't be bothered with it. Tried a mod that added extra to it, and it was brutal. I like immersion, but not that much haha.

Yeah, it wasn't for me either. Got fed up with being trapped far away from a town at night and dying looking for firewood.

f**k working out the mods is a pain in the arse. Used Oblivion mod manager and run into all sorts of bugs and files were being overwritten, so I deleted all the mods but the game still crashed, now I have to delete it and f**king download it again

Give the nexus mood manager a crack. Has an auto loader, do you don't have to manually work out the load order. Plus test it every 5 or so more, to check for incompatabilities.

OBOM crashed as I was loading a mod then all the squares became black, so I tried re activating them then it started overwriting some files. So hard to get the Overhauls to work.

Is there a simple guide on how to install it and get it to work with other mods? Would be appreciated.

I don't know if I'd call it simple, but the FCOM page has the instructions. It's a bit download intensive, but by far the best way to kit out the game.
