i'm wearing my extra loose pants today, giving me room to move when the best news ever goes off like a fire cracker

I'm wearing my extra loose pants because I've spent the last 4 sleepless days refreshing the browser and flicking back and forth between my inbox and this site.

All the while I've been eating nachos, chocolate and consuming large amounts of caffeinated soft drink (full sugar). Surprising how much weight you can put on in just a few days.

But at least when this email finally arrives the excitement will make it easy to shed the kilos.

Today's telecrap states Blair still has two years left

. WHEN Reni Maitua was on the comeback trail from his drugs suspension in 2010, Canterbury was his destination of choice.

Negotiations to return to Belmore eventually broke down, but we can reveal Maitua is again eyeing his old club after being told to look elsewhere by Parramatta. Whether he manages to strike a deal will depend on how much Parramatta are willing to subsidise his $300,000-a-year deal.

We've heard Eels coach Ricky Stuart would prefer to keep Maitua on deck if a rival club is not willing to fork-out at least $200,000.

Another Eel - Cheyse Blair - went close to slipping out of Parramatta before the June 30 deadline.

Brisbane were on the verge of throwing the giant three quarter a lifeline, but a recent injury ruined any chance of Blair making a mid-season switch. He still has two years remaining at Parramatta, but the Broncos aren't out of the equation for 2014 and beyond.

As I said korny, this is about the clubs reaction to members expecting an announcement.. It's got nothing to do with any board current or former..

Simply put, if there's no major outside signing, knock it on the head don't lead the poor pricks on..

I don't disagree about not knocking it on the head, I was reading the twitter feed last night and if it were me knowing nothing big was coming, I would have played it down.

The PESC are an embarrassment too, attacking the clubs twitter in public is not a good look for the official supporter club. Private messages would be more appropriate imo.

However you would think if it was an announcement of some new signings, the media would have some idea about it. But no media as far as I know has even hinted as us about to sign someone.

Social media gone mad. This is one of the risks when you wish to be inclusive. Anyway if there are no external signings of note I would give a massive fail to our management this week. This could have been sorted earlier with much less expectation. They should know better seeing we are coming last and all looking for some light in this darkest of tunnels.
