I've had kids destroy stuff in my store to the point that I have to write it off. And the parents don't even utter a "stop" or "don't"

On the other hand I see kids with the best manner as well. I always make sure I comment on it too, to the child and parent.

My wife works in a jewellery store. She had a family in the store a while back, the mum was trying to stop the two kids from destroying anything or wrecking anything. They had cheese ball snacks as well so they were staining shit whilst the dad was in the background laughing.

The kids drop the cheese balls all over the ground, so the mum started to pick them up. She asked my wife if they had a vacuum, she said yes. As soon as she started walking over to get the vacuum the mum dropped all of the cheese balls she had picked up and walked off.

Delirious. Does a whole bit about how unbelievable it was the first time he ever went to a white kid's house and he was just swearing at his mum:

It's not word for word, and Peters expands on it more, but you can see the complete base for the bit there. Even the "white kid" accent is the same

A lot of delirious in there. Mostly the Uncle Gus & Aunt Bunny BBQ routine but a lot of other bits borrowed from other routines as well. Still funny though.

Edit. Danish is right I had forgotten about that routine. It is that one with a bit borrowed from the cook out.

Yeah the whole special has a fair bit of delirious about it really.

Eddie Murphy with an Indian accent is still plenty funny though... Especially since Peters has not as yet started taking enormous dumps all over his reputation as a comedian by making dozens upon dozens of horrendous movies

Can definitely see the similarities, wouldn't say it's ripped off though.

I will certainly be keeping an eye out for more Russell Peters stuff. I hadnt heard of him before. You can see the influence, but you have to give him credit for being influenced by arguably the best standup routine ever. Delirious is still my favorite ever standup show.

My favourite is still Hedburg's "Strategic Grill Locations", I love that wordplay stuff.

More recently, can't go past Burr's "Let it Go". Thought it was one of the best specials I've ever seen.

Russell is great, I've had the privilege of seeing him live and he's just unreal. He picks out individuals in the audience and rips on them. ie. A guy walked in late and sat next to his gf in about the 5th row. He started hassling the f*ck out of him. His crowd interaction is brilliant.

Jeff Dunham (AKA Achmed the terrorist) is by far still my favourite though.

There is some good acts out there. Delirious is a bit dated now if you are under about 35. A lot of the material would no longer be relevant, but still funny in its own way. My favourite for audience interaction is Andrew Dice Clay, some of the shit he says is unbelievable. I am amazed no one hasnt pulled a gun & shot him.

Dice is a weird one, there was this really odd part of his career where the crowd were talking along to his jokes and yelling out the punchlines ON HIS SPECIALS.

I loved listening to the day the laughter died though, really gives you the dive-bar feel of American comedy clubs, especially the ones which would put up filthy comics like Dice.
