What a mess!!! Fitzyfirst suck!!

I know you're trying to have a laugh at the Emperor, but the stability of the Fitzy days sure seems like something I'd trade in a second for the shit we've had in terms of club governance during in the four years since.

Apart from one throwaway line about five years (intended to make a point about the club industry laws about to be introduced) can we really fault those days, compared to what we're left with after the cowboys took over?

PARRAMATTA coach Ricky Stuart has a get-out clause in his contract at the Eels allowing him to walk away from his three-year deal at any time.

As the Raiders legend’s name continues to be linked to a return home to the national capital next season, The Daily Telegraph can reveal Stuart is free to end his tenure with the Eels with no strings attached.

It is understood the get out clause was inserted in Stuart’s contract due to Parramatta’s volatile corporate governance structure and the fact the Eels had gone through four coaches in six seasons.

The Eels politics has only become increasingly complex since ex-chairman Roy Spagnolo was overthrown in May, with only Eels board member Robert Sassen left from the group of directors who signed Stuart last season.

Mate I wouldn't trust this paper as far as I could throw it anymore. After the way they have disregarded Ricky and the players statements on Stuart being committed to eels just shows me they want us to struggle and continue being a failure. First it was a clause for next year if he didn't make the 8 and now its a get out clause when ever he wants for no reason at all? Lol

Mate, as I've said before, if that clause did exist there's a 99% chance that it would refer to an option in the club's favour. i.e. if we don't make the 8 in 2014, we can release the coach with a specified level of compensation.

According to the Eels legend, one board member wants Stuart to be the coach, with Brian Smith in a coaching director’s role, while one board member wants Jason Taylor and a third is pushing for Neil Henry to be appointed.

This is the whole problem - the directors can have different views , they can having different opinions on who shoujd be coach, they don't all have to be behind Ricky - but all these discussions should happen in the board room and stay there, once outside the room directors to unite behind the boards decisions. Obviously someone is leaking board room discussions to advance their agenda.

It is amazing terry mentions above the board shoujd unite behind Ricky then goes on to announce the directors individual views on coaching to the whole world - doesn't this contradict his "we should unite behind Ricky " statement .

Our problem is this. We replaced Fitzy who did everything in his power to stay in power. Even our constitution at board level is skewed in a way that made the board almost impossible to oust. Later we had 3P who took us out of plenty of debt by mainly selling assets however had little football knowledge as the SK appointment revealed. They were thrown out and equally wouldn't take no for an answer. They all make me sick.
