Joey G has ruled himself out too saying he's only training as part of his rehab and he's zero chance. Heart breaking.
As good a bloke as Joe is, if there's one thing I've learned in my life it's not too trust anything that a New Zealander says.

Sit tight.

As for why Easts are going to win; look at the Manly props (Kite, Lawrence, Rose, Hasson/Gower/etc) compared to the Easts props (JWH, Moa, FPN, Liu, Napa etc).

Roosters have a definite edge there.

Souths man but ignoring the actual 'clubs' involved, I'm looking forward to the contest between these two teams.

Manly need a final big performance out of a middle third that rotation that's been hit by the injury to faa'oso, and an otherwise aging and sometimes inconsistent performance this season. If they can muscle up to the roosters in the middle like they did against Souths, it will go some way in allowing that classy halves and back line combo's the room to create opportunities.

The roosters have a pack of battering rams, lateral agility and off loading threats who can keep the play moving. Their big edge runners running off Pearce and Maloney can cause headaches, as well as the power and speed in guys such as Jennings, tupou and tuvasa-scheck.

The personnel right across the park makes this match up a hugely anticipated game.

Nobody beats Manly 4 times in a season.

Especially not a side that was shitting themselves about playing the knights.

Pearce had a cold a couple days ago. A sure sign that we've hit the panic button, right? ;-)

Yep Souffs were all over Manly....for 15 minutes.

If you think it was because Luke went off the boil and not that Manly turned it up and rolled them then it could be time to give up watching league.

The glaring mistakes from Luke changed the tide for Souths and Manly took the opportunities that were handed to them and they got the progressive roll-on.

Sadly Luke wouldn't have that many errors in a whole year ever mind an entire game.

Thats the observation that I had Beaver, and I think that although they have had a great year and have entertained the viewing public,I think the Roosters will be simply too hot for your side.

For your sake I hope I'm wrong and I'd be happy for you if they won...but it's the Roosters for me.

Fair enough Gong.

Hope its a great game of footy that the Eagles scrape home in.......and the refs keep their mindless pea brains out of the result!

Cheers

Weirdly enough not nervous for this one - was a nervous wreck in 08 and 11 travelling to the game. This time taking the family. Can see roosters winning but if we've learnt anything in the last week we won't be able to give them a 14-0 start. If we hang in first 20 minutes we'll be up for a grinding encounter.

Oh yeah baby! We are in this, balls deep now. :p Has BunnyDerp made it back from suicide watch yet? We will win if we get the double curse on the Roosters.

Glad that I can watch the Holden Cup GF live on Fox. Means I don't have to listen to that dribbler Tim "he's a mate of mine" Gilbert and listen to Gus crap on about Penrith.
