8. Daniel Tupou
9. David Williams
10. Sam Perrett
11. Nathan Merritt
12. Antonio Winterstein
13. David Simmons
14. Josh Hoffman
15. Manu Vatuvei
16. David Nofoaluma
17. Kevin Naiqama
18. Beau Ryan
19. Justin O?Neill
20. Corey Oates

So a player who has sat out a year is better than the current Australian winger you have ranked 7th. Interesting.

Hopoate is in the top 5....

rugby league players in history.

Of all the people to pick on above bmoz in that list, he's the wrong one.

springs' order is way off, but it was nice of him to give a list for us to work with. It's kind of like comparing apples and oranges for a lot of these, so I'll make categories and have rankings within them.

I'll include people who can or have played wing even if they don't right now.

Freaky Talents
1. Greg Inglis
2. Jarryd Hayne
3. William Hopoate
4. Folau (rip)
5. Krisnan Inu
6. Yow Yeh (rip)
7. Duges
8. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
9. Kevin Naiqama
10. Jorge Taufua
11. Marika Koroibete
12. David Nofoaluma
13. Sisa Waqa
14. Akuila Uate
15. Edrick Lee
16. Glen Fisiiahi
17. Manu Vatuvei
18. Daniel Tupou
19. Kalifa Fai Fai Loa
20. Semi Radradra

Solid class Wingers
1. Brett Morris
2. Brent Tate
3. Darius Boyd
4. Jason Nightingale
5. Michael Gordon
6. Josh Morris
7. Kevin Gordon
8. Ash Graham

Good but kind of shitty/average OR inconsistent
1. Reece Robinson
2. Justin O’Neill
3. David Mead
4. Nathan Merritt
5. Antonio Winterstein
6. Josh Hoffman
7. Ken Sio
8. Mahe Fonua
9. Gerard Beale
10. Justin Hunt
11. Josh Mansour
12. Beau Ryan

Merritt has to be top 5...I mean he has over 145 tries!
Dale Copely will be in the top 10 before the season is out.
Lachlan Maranta will be thought about being thought about being rated.

Merrits in my top 5 of good but kind of shitty players. I think he's a bit more than the line faller-overer on offense people accuse him of being. I don't agree and think he has displayed some real skill in scoring some tries some wouldn't score. But basically he's still kind of shitty. Shitty on D, not reliable at all, not super talented, physically unimposing, weak willed and inconsistent.

I like Springs' list. McManus getting some justified love. I'd have him above Uate TBH.

Sooo... shit dickhead or solid class?

I'd have Nightingale in the solid class above Gordon (id put him higher but I'm trying to account for my dragons bias!). He may not look good when he runs, but he is close to unbeatable under the high ball, great defense and positional play and he runs harder than most forwards coming out of the danger zone. Plus he can still finish off a try in style (see his Round 4 try against Sharks)

Morris
RTS
Taufua
McManus
Mansour
Uate
Nightingale
Vatuvai

Daniel Vidot if he play swing. I think will be entrenched in top 10 come end 2014.

Since you made a solid argument with evidence, and I was a bit iffy about where to put him in the first place, I will promote Florence to solid class. Congratulations to you and Jason.

If Eddrick Lee had played the entire season, he would be in everyone's top 10.
One of the few things to look foward to as a Raiders supporter is watching him and Jack have permanent spots next year.

Morris, Nightingale then daylight.....

Mainly because the best wing talent ends up in the centres or fullback. Inu on the wing could do anything. Vatuvei with safe hands and a brain would blitz that list - Morris aside. Agree with the Yow Yeh comment, and gotta give kudos for Simmons in a crap side.

Couple years ago Merritt would've been there but he is getting old, 30 next year.

Top 5 imo would be

Jorge Taufua
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
Brett Morris
James McManus
Akuila Uate
