    Storm and Panthers don't seem to care to much about playing the media to their advantage. I do agree, having a presence in the media is helpful. However how many Phil Goulds are running around? They are not easily attainable.

    Especially when the general motivation to moving a player on early is because said player is not performing in accordance with what they are being paid. You are not coming from a position of leverage.

    It is all about creating a narrative that is conducive with the brand you are trying to create. Everything Gould does, he ensures the media and fan interpretation is exactly what he wants circulating. Create the story > plant seeds > reflect on public and media opinion > pivot if necessary >...

    All the above is exactly what keeps them relevant. They do things and then manufacture a narrative through the media. The story was created long before any actions are carried out.
