Did we do the 23-27 deal pre or post dolphins announcement?

That last article with Vlandys states nrl cash at $400m, also aligning with what Roy Masters wrote, since we have been assuming nrl value and now have 2 articles stating same numbers we should take that as nrl cash value, still a bad deal but slightly better than the $380m cash we thought it...

In that last article posted it did say $400m cash in the comparison with AFL deal, most info we get is from news articles so we probably are working off that figure ( maybe the extra $20m is from the dolphins)

And media stated at least $4b cash so $400m to $570m is a massive difference, if you want to say extra game and more ad breaks fair enough but what about State of Origin, rep games and all stars? Hell we let them televise our trials this year for no gain, was averaging over 100k ratings per game.

The NRL has added 12 games to the schedule for next year, so while there is no 9th game they have already gave them half for that $20m so I can’t imagine getting another $50m for 12 more games unless we do Monday nights (which is over saturation for average fan). While it would be nice to think...

I have just emailed Rlpa , I know it probably will get deleted but if you love this game and don’t want to see it become a 2nd tier sport like soccer/rugby please email them and hopefully if enough of us do we can get some action. It’s to late to change this round of media deals, but if he is in...

Pete is either incompetent or a news stooge, has to go. Email the nrl players association and let them know his incompetence has cost the players $60-$70m per year. If enough of us do this hopefully they take notice

Why weren’t all those things taken into consideration when there was only a $36m per year gap in the last tv deal cycle, as opposed to the current $100m-$150m per year? He has done a shit deal for rugby league and has put us on the back foot for a decade minimum

A non for profit is supposed to put all money back in the company to grow the sport , they generate around 50% more revenue than us and spend it all on growth ( even if that is gws waste of money it will still hurt us in the long run) if you guys can’t see we have been screwed by 9/ fox or...

With all these racial issues afl may implode rugby style and we will be the last ones standing. The problems run deep and you have to think it will do some damage to the game apparently they had a middle aged white man doing the welcome to country on Saturday

If Fox won’t come to the party I would like to see Perth come in for 2025 and sell the 9th game to Stan , maybe on a Monday night, I know it’s only one game a week but I like to watch every game and the extra day of footy would make it worth $15-$20 per month, just to piss fox off

Hopefully he has that ace up his sleeve, we have the 1&3 market locked up and Adelaide is a small city pop probably not much more than the Hunter & Illawarra combined
