    Who'll be SL 12th club?

I’d rather we kept Leigh than Hull KR or Wakefield. London are dead, stick a fork in them, they’re done as an entity without a new owner. York aren’t ready either.

    Who'll be SL 12th club?

Safe and probably the best option for 2021, which is fine, if uninspiring. Beamount at Leigh has made it clear, they’d have played for no funding, so it was an easy decision in some senses. It’s how we move beyond 2021 that’s ultimately the most important thing.

Danny Kazandjian appointed new IRL General Secretary

Short term, looking at the players available to Tonga, their recent results, and the improvement in Fiji and the players available to them, I genuinely think they could beat England next year at the World Cup.

Danny Kazandjian appointed new IRL General Secretary

Having watched GB last year, having seen how poor the administration is in the U.K., having seen the disregard England has for International RL and the improvement in Southern Hemisphere nations, 4th is a genuine fear with this Tonga side and the current Fijian crop that will only improve with...

Danny Kazandjian appointed new IRL General Secretary

With the improvement in Tonga, Fiji and PNG and have seen the farcical GB debacle last year, I think we could struggle against those nations. England are going to hammer Greece and France in the World Cup. It’s fine then. England need to play proper internationals and actually put a plan in...

    Who'll be SL 12th club?

It was fit. I’ve no idea the finances they have available but the club is based at the one ground now, they all play and train at the one ground and the ground itself has plenty of scope to build on it, as proven by the building of the stand behind the sticks, that was built for 2019 and...

    Who'll be SL 12th club?

It’s a second tier Rugby Union ground, so not amateur at all. It was fit for Super League last year and does have corporate facilities but apart from all of that, it’s a great point you’re making.

Danny Kazandjian appointed new IRL General Secretary

The NRL most definitely isn’t the enemy. If they are, Super League most definitely has said “hold my beer”. England rarely play and when they do, they refuse to acknowledge anyone else in the northern hemisphere and blame Australia for being “anti-international”. Instead of playing a proper...

    Who'll be SL 12th club?

Super League probably could expand to fourteen teams. There’s a handful of clearly ambitious Championship clubs in the likes of Leigh Centurions, Featherstone Rovers, Toulouse Olympique, London Broncos and York City Knights with a couple of old Super League clubs in the likes of Bradford Bulls...

    Who'll be SL 12th club?

It’s not a catch 22 situation in the slightest. They’ve spent years being nomadic and bouncing around football grounds every few years with little position to establish themselves anywhere. Ealing offers that. They’ve been able to put in a stand behind the sticks there and were in the process...

    Who'll be SL 12th club?

The absolute last thing London need is another ground move.

    Who'll be SL 12th club?

The box ticking is a wasted exercise as Elstone has said something along the lines of “having discretion to overlook certain things”, which makes it look like it’s pointed towards a Bradford Bulls return, sadly. I think it’s all a joke anyway. They’re giving them less central funding despite...

Government decides to give more money to union

It’s for winter sports, we aren’t playing over winter so have a small amount of money in comparison to Union, who’s season is just starting.

    Toulouse candidate for SL

It all depends on what the bigger picture is, which is something Super League and Rugby League in the U.K. never thinks of. If we want multiple French teams in Super League, we have to work out how Super League looks in ten years, whether that’s a French conference, a closed shop to give these...

    WCC news

It won’t happen at all. Wigan lost £500,000 from the trip to play Roosters and the farcical Super League game against Hull in the ‘gong. There’s no way Super League teams are going to travel to Australia next year, more so when you consider we’re planning for a twenty-seven round regular season...
