He was lining up the kick.

    Rd.22 v Titans

Even local trainers know not to run in the sight of a goalkicker. Even if it weas truly an accident, why should the Titans have to face the consequence of it? The rules are not up to date with trainers.....but that is one instance where the ref should have some discretion and give the kicker a...

    Rd.22 v Titans

He had a massive amount of space to run to...yet he chose the space which would distract Campbell.

    Rd.22 v Titans

Im not defending the Parra and Rooster trainers either. All deliberate.

    Rd.22 v Titans

Totally disagree. If the distraction is caused by people on the field, that is unnecessary for Campbell's distraction to be cause by people who should know better (ex the trainer). Off field distractions will ALWAYS happen and players are pretty darn good at phasing them out.

    Rd.22 v Titans

That is an off-field distraction which referees cannot fully control. I'd absolutely let Cleary have a 2nd attempt if a bottle hit him on the first go. This was an incident caused directly by someone involved in the game. Trainers should be with the players until the kick has been taken. There...

    Rd.22 v Titans

Campbell was preparing to take the kick. There was a vast amount of space the trainer could have taken to avoid being in line with the kick.....he chose the wrong area . Im not sure what you're talking about with Nathan being distracted "all the time". That incident yesterday was an absolute...

    Rd.22 v Titans

There should not have to be an on-field distraction though. You would be filthy if the situations were reversed. I admire Penrith as a footy team.......but that was poor yesterday. Hopefully, some rules are put in place to avoid what happened yesterday.

    Rd.22 v Titans

Munky is once again spot on. That act was absolutely intentional. He even took a step towards Campbell on that run. EVEN if it was an accident, it is the sort of act that should have been penalised with a kick in front. It is not upto Campbell to refocus, it is up to the trainer to pick some...

Spot on. I really hope no coach tries to coach his style of play out of him.

    Blaming the Ref Syndrome

The commentators are probably the worst culprits. They really add fuel to the fire for some fans to blame the refs on rather than the players in their own team.

    Blaming the Ref Syndrome

While I agree with you that it was an incorrect call, I watched that one quite a few times and Im still not 100% of its accuracy. A ref should not be roasted for a call like that where even on video replay, it is not that conclusive. That call did not cost the Dragons victory.

    2025 R21 Sun - Canberra 44-18 Newcastle @ GIO

Sure we get bad calls. I have not seen us play a game this year where the refs have genuinely cost us a win though.
