EMBATTLED NRL star Semi Radradra spent Christmas Eve with his daughter Luisa and his estranged partner Perina Ting at a Bondi shopping centre.

It comes just a month after Radradra was ordered by a court to surrender his passport pending the hearing of domestic violence charges against him.

It is understood the pair met at the shopping centre so the troubled Test winger, who is facing charges over a number of alleged assaults including claims he kicked Ting in the stomach while she was nine months pregnant, could spend time with their two-year-old daughter for the festive season. The former partners had lunch in a food court before Radradra, 24, and Luisa posed for photographs with Santa.

Last month, Parramatta Local Court magistrate Tim Keady threatened the Eels player with an arrest warrant after he failed to front up to court to face the domestic violence charges.

Radradra was in his native Fiji visiting his sick father, reasoning which the magistrate described at the time as “not very convincing”.

However, after receiving more details on the footballer’s father’s conditions including asthma and pulmonary tuberculosis, Mr Keady was convinced to drop the warrant but ordered Radradra surrender his passport — meaning no more unscheduled trips to Fiji before his next court appearance in February.

If found guilty of the assault charges, the NRL will ban Radradra from playing for a year.

The tense family outing comes after Radradra was pictured bidding a mystery woman — believed to be his new girlfriend — an emotional farewell at Nadi Airport before returning to Sydney. Radradra’s professional life remains in turmoil, with his future in the NRL in doubt and a somewhat murky contract with French rugby giant Toulon on the table.

Toulon boss Mourad Boudjellal claims the flying winger has signed to the club.

Radradra’s manager George Christodoulou has disputed the claim, saying an offer has been tabled but the Kangaroo had yet to sign a contract. The Parramatta Eels said they would hold on to their player for the duration of his contract, which has 12 months left to run.

Well this was always going to happen, just wait for 2018 when Semi walks on Toulon and joins the broncs, the stage is set, the next time he comes to parra stadium will be in maroon and yellow thats unless hes found guilty, even the broncs might not want him then.

I'd suggest this decision may be a precursor to Semi now either be preparing to be found guilty or even just straight out pleading guilty and moving on.

Glad Bernie's holding firm and we're not bending over and giving Semi an early release - like we did for his "mentor" Jarryd Hayne.

But I too suspect Semi will not play NRL this season following his court date. Looks like his manager shopped him around and locked in the Toulon deal in anticipation of a guilty verdict (or plea) - and the contract will help cover necessary maintenance payments to his former partner aned their child.

So if suspended by the NRL after the court case for twelve months, Semi gets his August early release anyway? Alleged merkin of a human being, happy to be rid of the unnecessary drama and given our recruitment to cover him I suspect BA won't lose too much sleep if Semi disappears asap.
