One of the most consistently dominant reggies front rowers I can recall was Shannon Wakeman.
Never got a sniff at first grade. Rumours were he thought McGregor was a flogsock.
Never got a sniff elsewhere went he left the Dragons either.
The truth was he did not like the real hard training, sports science and diet stuff. Just loved being a footy player. If you see him strut his stuff around the gong these days will be a testamant to that fact.

A shame. If he was around in the 70s he would have played for Australia.

Thanks for the Wiki update. Forgot about Italy...but is that equivalent to 1st grade.
I wonder if he is still up north cause seen him twice in Wollongong Mall once earlier this year and secondly a fortnight ago. But gee he has packed on the kilos.
A Tonne of ability and a real pity he wasn't encouraged better to get fitter & train. Can understand the club letting him go but with all the training staff & hangers on surely someone was there to mentor him & get into his head ? Just another example of the clubs inability to improve the players performances.

No Denis. Fact....this one was the other way round. A player has got to want to do it.
This society of today including NRL believing everyone has no responsibility for themselves is the problem...and we got to educate them about life, wrap them in a cocoon, protecting them from themselves, mentoring and expected to mould into something that they are not or not want.... has gone too far.
Some men like the look and enjoy the stage lights....but like too much the other part of life too.
Any NRL club including Mary and the Dragons can only do so much for grown men or womwn who are adults

Fair enough.A real pity as he had the body and the skill to go with it but obviously a park footballers mentality.

What, did the field have a hugh slope left to right in it ! Our 6 and 4 & 3 didn't have their best defensive days by the look of it.

Just the camera angle I guess
4 Marsters D has never been good
6 Ziek is a part timer
No 3 I guess you mean 2 Jason Gillard part timer too.
Matty address the problem at half time and swap Jason and SSE over that seemed to help.

Sigh .. Timm is now 2nd in the reserves for tackles made to go with most metres, decoys, post contact yada yada yada ..

Another 80 minutes at prop, 170metres, 40 odd tackles ...

not worth giving 10 minutes to in 1sts ...

f**k out pathways are tragic
While we continue to play a hooker on the bench as a back rower !!!!!!!!!

I honestly dont mind Robson on the bench ... Some value there over Field or the like ..

when Graham is back the 10 forwards i would pick would be TImm/Graham/Robson/Leilua/Vaughan/McInnes/Lawrie/Frizz/Tariq/Korbin

Timm allegedly gone for next year....Robson/Marsters and a few more will be on that list.
