Mary would see Head as a threat as he has a solid winning ratio. Between 2016-2019:-
78 Wins
5 Draws
41 Losses
His winning ratio is 62.9% whereas Mary's is 48%. I know who I would prefer as coach! Head's success rate is right up there with Provan and Langlands. A success rate of 62.9% would get you in the Top 4 every year.
Yes, but I doubt Head is even under consideration for head coach. I'd say the following people are ahead of him in priority order:

  • Dean Young
  • Sheppard
  • Flanagan - until he has served his suspension and after that, he would move to top of the list.

Millward pisses me off "they need more time" he always says - well how has that worked for us in the last 8 or so years of ultra conservative "pay your dues" selection policy? And when the rookies finally do debut, they generally do well at the beginning and then hit a wall once entrenched in 1st grade "Dragons footy" mentality. Same old

That's good. I said let's see how he goes at fullback in CC. If he goes well and Lomax does not fire then maybe there is a possibility of Ramsey at 1 and Lomax at 3 after 30 June.

My preference would be for Ramsey to be promoted to the top 30 and then selected to the first grade left wing position in the early rounds
Where are you going to play Dufty ? ( and dont say 5/8 ! )

Dragons' Coaches' Winning Ratios
Bath 59%
Farrar 42%
Kearney 58%
Langland's 59%
Masters 55%
Mc Gregor 48%
Price 36%
Provan 69%
Smith 58%
Waite 53%
Young 42%
Mary has a success rate of 48% overall and 30% for last year. Why would you retain him?
What was Bennett's percentage while at the Dragons?

In CC, in the halves with Sailor.
Clune in first grade, in the halves with Norman.
Hunt to hooker.
Williame to left centre.
Ravalawa to right centre.
Lafai and Aitken to CC.
Britain on the bench.

I don't see a halfback among Dufty or Sailor. I don't know where I would be playing Dufty, as Ramsey has to be fullback.

I also would not be playing Aitken and Lafai in CC, as I would rather players such as the Feagai brothers, SSE and possible Schiller given time to develop in CC. Aitken and Lafai would be playing park football for whoever.

Ramsey only to DS.

1 spot left, chasing a winger according to Millward

Should be chasing a specialist right centre- As Director of Recruitment and Retention, Millward needs to grow a pair and just tell Mary that he's brought left specialist Wiliame in to provide competition for and put pressure on Lafai and now he needs to do the same for Aitken. Even if he was a good player, Aitken is injury prone and needs back up.

Yes- Dufty persists in thinking he's a full back when he doesn't have the body type or skill set to be a full-back. He played in the halves in his junior days but poor defence can't be hidden on an NRL field and like Jai Field, he is a really poor defender. Therefore, like Field, Dufty needs to be shown the door. Wendell talks up Tristan as a full-back but I fear his defensive lapses are going to leave him in a similar situation to Dufty and Field.

Saw Field play for Parra against Penrith and his goal kicking is still as unreliable as ever. Missed two, admittedly hard, attempts at goal that would have won the game for Parra- can't see him doing any better there than he did at SGI. Beach sprinting or Oz Tag might the go for Jai.
