You have to wonder what the action was that Gus thought the Dragons needed to take to avoid having to sack the coach now. It is never specified but apparently it was not palatable to the club.

I'd be very surprised if it didn't involve winning more games of football.

Very odd that he should even mention this "review" at the current time. But he isn't stupid, there'd be a reason. Protecting his brand, perhaps.

Have you read this - https://wwos.nine.com.au/nrl/dragon...--bombshell-truth-about-dragons-review_130820 ? It may answer some of your questions.

If you have already read it, apologies for wasting your time.

This isn't fair.

Mary was supposed to be replaced by the Prince who was promised...

It was probably something like, we had a bad season because we didn’t win enough games. Next year instead of losing games we need to win them and we will do a lot better.

Fun fact - Paul McGregor has been involved with the Steelers/Dragons NRL clubs for 27 of the past 30 years as a player or coach. Within those 27 years, the Steelers/Dragons have won absolutely nothing. There’s a few negative records in there, but no trophies, titles or awards of any kind.

In the 3 years that he was not involved in the club, we won 2 minor premierships, a premiership and a world club challenge.

This is how he will be remembered!
