If two people sitting in the bunker both miss an obvious obstruction when a try is scored I have no idea what reducing it to one person is supposed to do.

And why make this change two weeks out from the finals FFS?

Gould would get paid to show up to be the bunker ref, not show up & then blame the ref on the field for making incorrect decision.

Make it so refs can only refer to the bunker for in goal related reasons e.g. put downs, touch in goal etc.

Everything else like obstruction, kick contests etc. is for the ref to call.

Teams can challenge the above using the captains challenge system. Perhaps give each team 2 for a game as opposed to 1.
