As of Now our squad is
  1. Matt Dufty
  2. Cody Ramsey
  3. Zac Lomax
  4. Jack Bird
  5. Mikaele Ravalawa
  6. Corey Norman
  7. Ben Hunt
  8. Blake Lawrie
  9. Andrew McCullough
  10. Paul Vaughan
  11. Josh Kerr
  12. Tariq Sims
  13. Tyrell Fuimaono
  14. Poasa Fa’amusili
  15. Trent Merrin
  16. Daniel Alvaro
  17. Brayden Williame
  18. Jordan Periera
  19. Jayden Sullivan
  20. Max Feagai
  21. Matt Feagai
  22. Kaide Ellis
  23. Jackson Ford
  24. Adam Clune *
  25. Eddie Blacker *
  26. Billy Brittain *
  27. Cameron McInnes
  28. Jack De Belin
Our development players from my knowledge are
  • Shaun Sauni Esau
  • Tyrell Sloan
  • Junior Amone
  • Hayden Lomax
So we currently have a spot saved for Jack De Belin as stated in the pre - season

Adam Clune may be potentially off to the NQ Cowboys

Eddie Blacker looks like he is definitely off to the Penrith Panthers

And by all reports on the forum Billy Brittain looks like he will sadly have to retire

That leaves us with 25 taken roster spots potentially 24 if JDB is not successful

So it looks like we are gaining

Josh McGuire on what may be a fairly cheap deal if the Cowboys chip in

Andrew Fifita on what may be a cheap deal if the Sharks chip in

Billy Burns in a swap deal from Penrith

Add in JDB if he gets cleared

I believe we have got ourselves a fairly good roster for the year

If JDB does not get cleared I would spend that money on a couple of depth players but overall I will be very happy if this all plays out
Well put and documented Big Rig and all very much possible. I'm hoping though that we have Clune for a couple of years more.

One hooker in the whole squad with BB retiring.

At some stage this pack could b on the field and if so...bring on the big guns.I really want to smash that Panthers pack along w the Rabbitohs... starting w Kikau:
Vaughan
McCulloch
Fifita
Sims
Mcguire
JDB

Actually think this pack is better than the 2010 pack...

8. Neville Costigan, 9. Dean Young, 10. Michael Weyman, 11. Beau Scott, 12. Ben Creagh, 13. Jeremy Smith. Grand final side. I would put Costigan and Vaughan on par, McCulloch miles ahead of Young, Weyman miles ahead of 2021 Fifita, Scott and Creagh ahead of McGuire and Sims and Smith and JDB about on par. I would still give the edge to 2010 side, but its still a good pack.

Clune is their wish not ours, if it was our wish then the deal would already be done.
The same with Fifita, some wild remark is that they are asking for Vaughan in exchange.........yeah right!!!

As said previously its a game of chess and with Brittain likely to be retired, keeping Clune now is a priority as he can fill that role as we saw in the trial games. Add to this Clune is a club man who showed great dedication in playing even whilst studying. Type of player we need around.

I'm not fussed on Maguire, I think the current rules of the game make him a bit of a dinosaur. Hard man yes, but no other skill set, like offloads.
Fifita, also a hard man but does have skill sets, however, movement maybe his issue.

Yes-watched McGuire closely against the Sharks- while he was busy and involved, he looked his age. Never looked like pulling off a big hit, breaking the line in attack or creating second phase play.
Couldn't see he'd offer us anything we don't already have.
Hook would probably argue that he can get more out of him than Payten- only time will tell.

Still don't think Maguire is the flavour of the month nor year. I haven't rated him when he was at the Broncos and of course now at the Cowboys, but if he does come then Hook must think that he can get him to fire for the Dragons.

Remember Young's deplorable service from dummy half ?

Hook hates him though and sacked him from Penrith...

I’m not sure ‘Hook’ hated James Segeyaro he was Dally M hooker of the year in 2014, was very good again in 2015. When ‘Hook’ took over in 2016 Seggy suffered a serious injury early that season and just struggled for form thereafter. An off field issue didn’t help his cause and given his contract was up he left for the UK. His departure was more to do with Gus Gould than Anthony Griffin if my memory serves me correctly.

Really want Norman gone so dont give a shit that we sign up his mates but if the club offers him a one year 400k extension than that could be for Buds benefit more than anything. Rather Bud gets 10- 15 games under his belt this year so he should be ready next season anyhow , hopefully along with 2 or 3 of his mates !
