You'd need to prove you can't fill the centre position and Jennings makes that impossible.

The incumbent who got shifted to fullback over an actual fullback to put a half at centre....

Jennings is listed as a winger with us and from memory has basically only ever played wing at nrl level. Cant imagine it would be that hard to prove.

If Edwards and api are ruled out that's them out.. rennings is a winger and has played that position most of nrl career and all season in nsw cup and Sorensen can't play there obviously.

Not really a stretch. The roosters would get an exemption no doubt

Or Staines FB. Jennings wing

Or Capewell centre

Even if we lose Edwards, Api and Mom there are still several options

Momirovski's argument:

https://www.nrl.com/news/2021/04/20...utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=NetworkContent

6.50pm: Momirovski’s lawyer Nick Ghabar contends his client was far from careless during the tackle. He submits there was “deflected contact from Dearden having his arm up to protect himself” that resulted in the Panthers centre striking his opponent’s head.
“Unlike player Friend, who always has his arm above the ball and virtually in line with player Clune’s head,” Ghabar says, "Momirovski was aiming to make a wrapping tackle and contact “wouldn’t have ended up as high without deflection.”

Ghabar describes the incident as “cradling-like contact” that lacked “blunt force” and adds that Momirovski showed a level of care to help cushion Dearden’s fall and prevent his head from hitting the ground.

I expect Momirovski to get the downgrade. Doubt they're giving him 3 weeks for it. His initial contact was fine and not late. Really it should have been penalised on field and maybe fined as he's fighting for.

Surprised he didn't get the downgrade considering the initial contact. Obviously the club felt confident in beating the charge risking the extra week. Oh well there's a good chance Edwards is in and this makes the decision easy.

Has the judiciary process changed for this year?

Previously players have been able to plead guilty, to lock in the early guilty plea penalty as a maximum, but still challenge the grading at the judiciary. This is what I assumed we were doing with Momirovski.

The arguments presented made it appear we were looking for a downgrade, yet the result comes in as Guilty, and we're handed the maximum penalty.

Anyone know if/when this was changed? Or did we just mess up our defence?

The NRL are consistently inconsistent. I am not surprised he got suspended.
Someone will do similar later in the year and get off.

This x100.

Went on about it on the forums the other day. Judiciary is an absolute farce and needs and massive overhaul. The lot of them are a laughing stock

You have to remember that the judiciary is made up of Ben Creagh, Dallas Johnson and Bob Lindner.

we're also taking head injuries more seriously now. If the other 2 are downgraded though then it's a joke.
If the NRL are serious they would be sighting the Raiders coward that deliberately attacked the head of a Penrith player (Eisenhuth) by slamming his head into the ground off the ball.. They won't though, it's only a Penrith player.
