TDS and Lachlan were earmarked for our future after their success in Matt's.
They feed off each other.
Our left side is stacked so it will be interesting to see how Benji works his backline next year with the additions of..
Luai
Olam
AD
Turuva
To'a
Laulilii
to name a few.
I still believe this backline can get it done with Bula getting more experience too, so I stand by what I've said in that we need an enforcer who can run and hit hard.

Api should b passing the baton to TDS at the end of this season. It was noticeable last season that age is quickly catching up with him & we have a deadset superstar waiting in the wings. In saying that JL will make API’s job this season a heck of a lot more convenient than he has been accustomed to at Concord.

I'd love to see Api and TDS Interchange this year and as you said for him to pass the baton on in 2026. This scenario is perfect.
I'd like to see Api stay on after that and mentor TDS now that Robbie has moved on.
Api's passing game really dropped off last year and some of his service was not crisp to the left and to the right...players had to reach a lot to catch the ball. I think he was burnt out somewhat.
Having TDS come on halfway thru the second half could work and he kicks as well...bingo!

OK, but I think he will stay, he'll get good money and will see that the team is heading in the right direction, he has his mates here and Luai to mentor him.
I also think the Benji factor will come into it as well.
Remembering, he is still here for 2 seasons and we do have the right to last offer.

Don’t underestimate how ruthless & nasty IM is.He holds the aces re negotiations involving a very valuable asset. The asset is in huge demand & we r up against powerful super wealthy people like Politis & Arthur Laundy & his devious sidekick Gould. No doubt if the team does really well this season it improves our chances of retaining him. However we are only 3 rounds in & have beaten 2 ordinary teams who are winless & lost to a shithouse knights on our turf. Its a long season & many variables can influence where u end up.Im hopeful we will have a successful season but there’s no guarantees & as I keep saying im quite concerned about our forwards depth.

I'll be extremely surprised if we lose him as a longterm future with the friends he's living his dream with is guaranteed...then add being mentored by arguably the best 9 in the game to be his successor. That's a helluva lot for even IM to beat by taking him to another club...the money will / could not be significantly more anywhere else

The untraceable inducements offered to IM will be a heck of a lot greater from the obvious clubs.IM’s advice/decision isn’t based on niceties etc & friendships the kid may have formed. If we have an avg season which is possible then we’ve got buckleys of retaining him & added concern will be the offers JL will receive post Nov 1.Hence its of huge importance that we have a really good season for many reasons additionally coz I so want Benji to succeed & be a premiership winner both as player & coach.
