I know plenty disagree, but reckon Kautago was pretty good today...and has potential.

Obviously can run the ball, but also works hard in defence. Very good leg tackler. And has some skills. Has an error but give him time. Him and Moses could have a very good combo!

I agree - Kautoga is raw, but there is a tonne of potential there.

I think he needs to get more game time to get confidence, and experience.

Ditto Smith, Tuivati, and Iongi.

we got a LOT of youngsters in this... prob even more to come

we're going to have to deal with those growing pains

today was a great result but... not just to win but you can see the growth, you see the difference walker made, imagine adding moses

I am genuinely excited to see what we can do with Mitch back in the side.

Walker added a new dimension to our ruck in attack - we were crisper, cleaner, and quicker.

Excellent signing.

I know Iongi, gave a poor pass late in the game (pretty sure he thought JAC would be there). But it's pretty obvious, we have a plan to give JAC some space. Had a few plays where we just couldn't get the pass away. Think we got him in open space once. Also couple of times Russell could not feed him. Work in progress. But it's good we are trying to use his pace

He reminds me of Kafusi the style he plays. His biggest issue is his hands. But today he played ok in attack. Made a few poor reads in defense.

R.Smith is a ball of energy. Big fan. Tuivati is going to love D.Walkers short balls and so will Morretti. Those are the guys he needs to be hitting off a fast play the ball.

I would like pressure on Russell and Lane to force a permanent new player take their place, however I am prepared to be patient.

Great game. Good energy.

ABC grandstand 321 points were

Jnr
Gutho
Brown

They also reckon that Walker allowed Brown's game to be more expansive.

Some serious STG knobs doing the Gutherina nearly starting fights today.

Fun fact: after fox scored his try the scoreboard congratulated...

I thought Moretti was huge, too - some big hits, and strong runs.

I'm really excited for our future - we have some real quality in the team.

Iongi made some errors, but his tackle, and kick clean up, on Gutho was immense - and he was dangerous with ball in hand.

I don't mind when we lose, as long as we give it our best.

I would have been a little dad to lose today, but still proud, because they gave it their all.

But walking away with 2 points is amazing

This team has a whole heap of potential and I credit Ryles with picking and sticking with the juniors he knows are our future even if they are going to make some mistakes.

what a win. Lomax is absolute clutch.

im worried once he cools down he’s got a syndismosis injury and may be out for while, but fingers crossed it’s just a sprain

Hard to disagree with that latter point. That was plainly Brown’s best dig of the season, and I think Walker’s presence did give him a bit more space.

Have to say though, in a minor defence of Brown, that a performance like today shows what a difference it makes to have forwards who give you parity or something near it. We’ve been belted up front in every game so far and today was the best overall effort from our pack for the year. It’s no surprise that the backline attack looked better on the back of that.

Couldn't be bothered going back in the thread, but pretty sure someone suggested Iongi wasn't that good...

Thought he was massive, especially considering that's his 6th game....wait until he has 100 games...

He is 2yrs away from being complete. Does some silly stuff and his defemse is a bit average. But R.Walsh gets paid 1 mill and makes the same errors.
With some space but he is electric. Need to learn to use him better which we did today

See, I respect your opinion regarding Kautoga, but I disagree - give him more experience now, and in 1 or 2 years, he will be a much better player.

He made some errors today, but did plenty of good things, too.

There is some genuine raw talent in this team.

But today's win was pure attitude, and desire.

We never gave up.

I'm super proud!
He was a lot better in the second half. I suspect he'd be an awesome 9's player.
