I would like pressure on Russell and Lane to force a permanent new player take their place, however I am prepared to be patient.

Great game. Good energy.

ABC grandstand 321 points were

Jnr
Gutho
Brown

They also reckon that Walker allowed Brown's game to be more expansive.

Some serious STG knobs doing the Gutherina nearly starting fights today.

Fun fact: after fox scored his try the scoreboard congratulated...

Agree with Junior Gronk
Gutho I can live with, but Ryley Smith should have got points

Couldn't be bothered going back in the thread, but pretty sure someone suggested Iongi wasn't that good...

Thought he was massive, especially considering that's his 6th game....wait until he has 100 games...
It was me. I stand by it. But I think we’re basically saying the same thing.

My point was he’s absolutely a work in progress who’s a plain step down from Gutherson in terms of class at this point. But I also stressed it’s unfair to judge him at this stage.

He showed both his positives and negatives today. That awful pass out into touch on zero tackle with us down by a score with well under 10 to go is a coach killer. But he did a lot of decent stuff with ball in hand too.

It remains to be seen how he pans out. I’m happy to give him more time. But I don’t think I’m being unfair in saying he’s not set the world on fire yet.

Our right side attack will struggle until Moses gets back.

Hawkins is doing a really good job. Good kicking, Defends ok (nothing special but not liability) and is obviously leading the side around. What you want from a back up.

But is no threat with his running game. Does run, but nothing super threatening. So not creating much space on that edge.

That’s the rule bro though it has to be contestible… Yes Hawkins f**ked up but he belted it straight out, it was the right call.
Yeah - no problem with the call. Ive always thought the rule was silly that it is a penalty when kick off or drop outs go out on full. Should just be a scrum or handover.

Definitely was a shocker of a pass.

The whole team is a work in progress mate, we just need to take a breath and not expect early miracles.

Going to be a tough season or two but we just have to back what Ryles is doing and prepare to be patient.

He is better than Gutherson was for most of last year (with better players around him) and he wants to be here and not be a troll so that counts for a lot.

Was thinking the same thing. There was kick by Hawkins which Gutho took that Lomax would’ve had to run around 5 Dragons to contest. Been happening all year because Hawkins isn’t a run threat so the defence can hang back then get into blocking position well before Lomax can get there. Moses will be a lot more of a run threat even on the last to keep them honest

Honestly not sure what the troll part means - was there mail that Gutherson was undermining things at the club?
