Mnf might be a trade off for a reduced season length

Both for players and broadcasters

But only if they expand the pacific cup

Or have in season tests like Samoa v Tonga series

Yeah maybe …It’s possible that it could be sold off as a stand alone/exclusive content for someone… preferably a FTA network so it’s still accessible to everyone, although that’s likely a pipe dream ….I still think it’s overkill with RL games 5 days a week, and the crowds on Monday nights are crap …

More spread out over the weekend the better. Gives fans something to tune in almost every night and prevents people being forced they have to watch 4-5 matches in one day to stay on top of everything. Especially after NRLW is added in.

Shows the caibre of juniors the game has in nz

Nz2 asap

Article says only been in that comp for 2 years. Why not before ?
I think what changed is that the NRL started funding the Warriors' pathways teams

???? Not that I know of. Warriors own and pay for them
All clubs now get NRL payments over the base grant for NRLW and pathway development.
NRL base grant is $17mill, some clubs get over $20mill total grant. ie
in 2024
NRL grants
Broncos $21.6mill
Panthers $18.2mill
Souths $17.8mill
Eels $19.4mill
Wests $19.6mill
Sharks $19.6mill
